Lengthy piece on cc a number of years ago by a poor guy who missed ship in Nassau.  Had gone to Atlantis with family.  They had agreed on meeting point but at appointed time one son was missing.  He sent rest of family back to ship and waited but son never showed.  Later discovered the boy had returned to ship early with friends.  Father ran down pier to find ship sailing away.  Had drivers license and credit card but no passport.  Royal port agent not helpful.  Took him three days to visit American embassy, obtain replacement passport, find a plane to Haiti and take a taxi across the island to meet ship at Labadee.

Too late. Wonder if he is infected? What was Royal thinking? 28 days between shots and 10 days for it to take effect. Something like that. They should ahve started the crews vaccines long ago.

I was surprised they let crew on without being vaxed.  Guess they didn't want to pay for lodging when they had a floating hotel for free...

Let’s talk flowriding. Yes, there is only advanced standup flow riding open sessions. If you are a beginner, you can still stand up flow ride by paying for a private lesson. You have the whole flowrider to yourself and an instructor. No one waiting in line after you.

So safety of the crew goes out the window when someone is paying $$??  CMon RCL, you need to be better than that!!!

I wish the CDC and the cruise lines would follow the CDC’s own advice and stop testing asymptomatic vaccinated people. Attached is CDC interim guidance from May 28, 2021 which says vaccinated people should refrain from screening testing.

Crew members still on the ships are still being paid (this is governed by international maritime convention)

When the time comes to staff ships to return to service, you won’t be able to see the end of the line outside of Human Resources.

Not all crew members are being paid according to this video around 3:40 mark he answers that question

I had booked the drink package previously and when it went down I cancelled and rebooked.  Has anyone ever done that and if so... how long does it take to get the refund?   Thank you!

Many people have done this.  Prior to the Covid mess, it would take less than a week to get a refund, now it is any ones guess as to how long it will take.

For all those that are okay for wearing one for embarkation and disembarkation what purpose does that serve if you don't also wear it walking around the ship, sitting in the theater , gambling etc?

embarkation/disembarkation is a congested time with many people near each other.  Once on the ship, it should be much easier to maintain distance
