Possible good news on the strike by the Greek Air Traffic Controllers. News site skai.gr is reporting that there were good discussions with the Transport Minister today and they will recommend to the board to suspend the strike action.

I haven't seen anything else yet to support this but here's hoping it is true and that the board and/or members accept that recommendation.

I emailed the Athens Airport inquiring whether International Flights directly from Canada or the USA would be affected and received this reply:

Regarding your inquiry, kindly be advised that as per official Aeronautical notice we have received by Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, Greek Air Traffic Controllers’ Association will be on 24hour strikes on October 09, 10, 12 & 13, 2016, so no flights will operate from/to Athens International Airport.

All of these Cheers and VAT issues because the Vista is not stopping at Kusadasi as originally scheduled and yet 32 ships mostly from the major cruise lines are still visiting Kusadasi in September and 33 ships in October.

I wonder how many of those yet to sail on the Vista over the next month or so would support reinstating the Kusadasi port stop.....????

Anybody used the Metro to get from the Athens Airport to Plaka? We're staying at the Plaka Hotel. How difficult is it with luggage?

In your photo #1 where it indicates Total Charge, mine shows N/A.

In photo # 2 beneath Status: Booked where you have a View Payment Details box, I do not have that.

Could it be that you booked through Celebrity and I booked through a travel agency?

How can I be sure that the Free Classic Drink Package for both of us have been properly credited to our cruise? It does not show up on the Cruise Docs although the Prepaid Gratuities does. Can't find anything under my reservation on the Celebrity site for either the Classic Drink Package or the prepaid gratuities. I'd hate to get on board to find out it hasn't been credited to our account.

Does anybody know the taxi costs from the airport to Ciqala Suites and from Ciqala Suites to the Pan Am pier? Thanks!!
