At any British airport I have been in the duty free shops are normally after you have passed through security therefore no problem.

Thank you put my mind at rest buy bottle or two put into my hand luggage for my trip now :)

You can still buy duty free alcohol at your home airport - Gatwick or wherever and take it on the plane and then onto the ship. I think the airplane crew only say this because they also take passengers who are going on, for example a Thomson ship and they cannot take alcohol on board. The rules haven't altered as far as P&O is concerned - they still reserve the right to remove alcohol from passengers but it is only used if a passenger is obviously the worse for wear.

Silly question from me as i have never purchased alcohol at airport

will this not be confiscated from your hand luggage while boarding :eek:

What islands in Caribbean can you not wear camouflage clothing / Shorts /

are you allowed to wear Bench shorts on Board ship

We booked a select guarantee cabin and ours was exactly the same - just the word GUAR in capitals . Deck A , grade PF , think we have been upgraded just checked our Personaliser 5 mins ago we have been given Cabin B527 for our New Year Cruise On Britannia

Been asked this question are you allowed to put into your Hand luggage or Hold at the airport

way pound is going is chance might go up few cents thats chance you take i exchanged my pound in my Local Travel agent where i booked my cruise on Britannia got fare rate $1,52 might go up it might fall but i was happy with exchange rate and of course they had lots of small dollar bills :)

Hi storeman, we go on the 2nd so I'll be up till midnight tonight and hopefully I'll have mine booked a couple of minutes later.

Getting closer now, just over 3 months to go, can't wait.

Looking forward to Christmas and new year at home with the family, then on the 1st an overnight stay at an airport hotel (even though its only 20 mins away from us), nice breakfast included and then a free scuttle bus to the terminal for a 11.10am flight.

Would have preferred an earlier flight so I could stroll down to the duty free but I can always pick a bottle or two up at Manchester.

Hope you have a great cruise, I know that I certainly will.

Just Booked our seats On Dreamliner we depart on 1st Jan 2016 from Glasgow to Barbados vie Britannia cost of each seat £ 20 one way

We have family members booked same Guarantee Cabin since August Last year for Britannia sailing on 1st Jan 2016 have not got cabin number yet keeps them in Suspense all so have wonderful Cruise

I have taken my Id card with me as proof of who i am was with this it will then be placed in my safe , when serving as soldier it does not leave your sight goes everywhere with you as laid down by Queens Regulations

Cruise Area as for myself we love cruising too Caribbean for 2 weeks Inside cabin , itinerary and price priority , then ship .

As been said take copy of your discharge papers / Red Book if you have one to your travel agent who will kindly photocopy send it on as for my Mod 90 which is given to you as serving soldier / navy /Raf which cannot be bought has your name rank number dob photograph

I have my privilege card, MOD 90 ID card photographic proof fits inside my wallet

Spoke to Thomson rep regarding 3x cases combined weight totaling 46kgs never had clue

so thanks for clearing that up Presto 2 can rely on CC member ;)

Sounds reasonable so put into perspective i have case with 20kg my wife has case with 20 kg spare one with 6 kg total 3x cases combined weight 46 kg
