  1. Thanks!! I appreciate you giving me suggestions. I wasn't really even able to come up with ideas. I kept thinking if someone asked me that for Vancouver, I wouldn't know what to say. I emailed the hotel and hopefully that would be an option with a fee. It's close to the port and we won't have to worry about taxiing elsewhere or whatever just to store the luggage. Thanks again!

  2. Thanks, we'll have luggage with us on the way in and will have gotten up at 4:30 a.m. Central time so I think we will go to hotel first, dump bags and then IF we want to head to the port we can do it and/or walk back. We purposely haven't scheduled anything definite that day given possible flight delays and/or exhaustion so we can play it by ear.

I'm now leaning towards buying the FareSaver and having the extras to use either later that night OR to ride the one station down w/luggage on Friday to board. Given all the helpful info on how to get from Waterfront to the port (and that we are generally healthy, able-bodied people) this seems a little more "fun" than a taxi. It's all about the journey!

    Thanks again

Hi! I wrote a reply on your original thread post. I do you want to add that much of the skytrain from the airport to your stop downtown or waterfront station (the last stop, the one near the port) is underground, not in the sky. The sky portion will be from the airport, across the bridge into Vancouver. Then it heads underground. A cool seat for kids (or adults) is the front seat looking forward. You can see the route as you go through the underground portion! Good luck!

  3. Hi P Mori! Thanks for replying to everyone after OP offered and left.

I was wondering if you have any ideas about luggage storage. We are visiting Montreal before our cruise (back to back) and when we return, we don't fly home until later in the evening (I think around 7pm if I'm correct). I'm wondering if you have suggestions of what to do with our luggage during the day in order to make good use of the day. I tried asking elsewhere but really didn't get a good reply. It's me and my mom who is a senior so I don't want her lugging her bag around. She asked me whether we can just bus to the airport and then drop it off and go back to town. That sounds like a waste of a time. Do you know if hotels would store luggage (We are staying at LHotel pre cruise) or there's a place close by? Any suggestions would be great!

Also if we have to take our luggage with us all day, do you have any suggestions of what to do? Thanks!

  4. Perhaps OP is refering to Jehovah's Witnesses?

Try going to the Roll Calls. Look under your cruise line, then ship name and then look for a thread with your date and you can connect with others taking the same cruise.

  5. ADPMOM

Can you tell me if the rooms had water pitchers? (along with the ice buckets?)

I've read various posts about them being removed/no longer in use and some saying they still have them?

I really liked having them. I also thought they were just so beautiful! Nothing you can buy at home seems to be as nice.

(If I could, I'd buy it and the coffee caraft) :)

  6. man this is a great thread! i tried tim tams for the first time when i was in australia as an exchange student in 1999! (wow ten years ago...crazy!).

they were fantastic! i'm not a huge fan of chocolate but i really enjoyed the originals with my hot chocolate. it's like double chocolate. i brought a bunch home in my luggage.

it's now a regular in various grocery stores here. i find though (as a strange girl who never craves chocolate...the guys in my family do though; go figure!), now that it's always available, i don't crave them like i did when they weren't available.

    enjoy the tim tams! :P
