First of all, they are not "unwanted". But I certainly do see your point.
These kids are probably old enough to have realized that other kids do have parents, and some of those are extremely rich and get everything they want. There's not much harm to be done.
I hope they'll look forward to the ship arriving next year.
I said they feel unwanted not they are unwanted but some are left by parents who can not or will not do what's right by them. That unfortunately is unwanted, not by us but by someone who is supposed to care for them.I wish them all the luck in the world. The look of despair in a child's eyes in unforgettable. I hope it's never seen again.

I disagree, many people go on expensive vacations that don’t resemble their day to day at all. I know there are so many people who live MUCH more lavish lives than I do, with way less money worries. Would I turn down a free luxury trip because I would feel bad not living that life?
There's a difference between going somewhere different and experiencing another facet of life and being an orphan. They wake up knowing they are different from even those around them. They live believing that they are unwanted and for a moment the curtains part and abundance, glamour and opulence are on parade. Then they go back to a place that is a warehouse for the unwanted our those who have lost everything , even a parent. They need the basics that we take for granted and not paraded through our self endulgant world. Don't get me wrong I got not one minute think these kids a worthless on the contrary I think struggle makes for a better adult. But we cant help by throwing a hamburger at them and feeling better about ourselves. Please don't think I'm on a soapbox.

We can all agree that the germphobic amongst us are out to lunch. But in truth bringing these kids onboard only shines a spotlight on how bad they have it. Nothing shows you how poor you really are than seeing how wealthy others live. There's all kinds of ways to help. This just feels like rubbing there noses in it. I appreciate the want to help but sometimes restraint is the prudent response.

Really depends on what you drink.uf your a rum and coke kinda person that's easy. Grab a couple cans of soda before hand and use the big cup to horde rum in the way. But if you a pina coloda person, well that's a pain in the butt.

what's the general consensus on rental cars in this port. I wouldn't rent in Mexico because of the horror stories but Bahamas seems better.
I looked at the available excursions and honestly they suck.

I would love to see this. a uniformed officer and a four legged officer would keep the peace. I don't care at all about the drugs but the obnoxious passengers that sometimes appear later in the evening. I'm packing treats .

@don24 - short answer, yes. You used your desktop account's log-on to access, your booking/reservation will appear, etc. I've used both Apps and found the latest revision to be much improved in functionality, even compared to last year.
again, thank you. if I'm understanding correctly the app acts like the web page until I access the ships intranet. at that time other options will appear for use onboard.

@don24 unless you are sailing soon on one of the older NCL ships that hasn't converted/upgraded to support the newest "Norwegian" App, the iConcierge app is outdated & no longer used by most shops (and it's not the same)
They are easily found in Play Store for iOS & Android to download, install - you can even activate & use it before leaving. some of the functions & extra (paid/free) options won't be enabled or seen until you are on the ship's WiFI inTRAnet.
Ok, I'm on the escape in a month. I downloaded the Norwegian app that seems like an extension of the desk top site. Is This what I use onboard. Please and thank you.

I can't seem to find the iconcierge app. I can find the ncl main app. Are they the same I think not.

thank you

hello , I'm trying to find the list of the upcharge schedule of the specialty restaurants with the sdp. February on the escape. I did try to search but I seem to suck at it.

There are no legitimate places to buy Cuban cigars in Nassau. I have "heard" that they have some in Atlantis but if they do they will be crazy expensive. You can go up to Graycliff Hotel and visit the cigar factory there. Again, they are expensive too. If Nassau is the only island you're going to on this trip forget about Cubans and take your own sticks.
Several islands have an LCDH. If you are going to others let me know, or do a quick check online. ONLY go to LCDH's when you're in the Caribbean to ensure you're getting the real deal!
first off thanks for the reply, your opinion is gospel . I was fully convinced that there's no Cubans in Nassau . it was seeing the 700 wine on the LCDH site that mixed me all up.

I looked on the la casa del habano web site to see if they have a location and they do not. but on there web site they show a place called 700 wine and spirits as a associate location. does any one know for sure if Cuban cigars are for sale . Im sure they sell cigars but authentic Cubans im leary.

Have you tried asking on the Nassau ports of call forum?
Well that seems like something I should have done. I would still love the dudes input.

i have a question that may be answered by cigar dude or any others who can help. I'm going to Nassau and checked the la casa del habano site to see if they opened a location, they haven't. they do show a place call 700 wine and spirits as a associate location but I cant find anything more. does any one know with out any reservations that they sell authentic Cuban cigars. I tend to lean towards no but with there name on habanos site my hopes are a little elevated.i hope another BOTL can help.

as the title says, we are looking at both aft balcony or spa balcony. same price. on escape. we will definitely use the balcony. just wonder if spa gets so crowded it not worth it. a winter departure with the uninspiring Canaveral/Bahamas/private island itinerary. opinions requested.

it's a short drive. have breakfast at home load the car and a nice leasurly drive. wait on no one, exit ship on your schedual and grab a bagel and a coffee in new York.

forgive me guys and gals. its been a little while since I booked ,life has its ways of changing your plans for life. I feel the need to ask a rookie question. my job requires that I choose all my vacation time for the following year in November and I have done just that. I now find myself able to book and the week I have to go on seems to be very popular because the price is high and the following week is $600 less, there's my luck for you. I may be able to change it but not till wedenesday at the earliest which is January 2. the free at sea seems to end dec 31 again my luck. now the rookie question. would I be safe to assume since there has been a free at sea of some type or fashion that there will be some rendition of it to come after this. I don't expect all the same just something to sweeten the pot. truly all I want is drinks and specialty dining to be there.

Not sure it was the rough seas that made us late. It may be routine but divers went under the ship shortly after we arrived.

5 days till my cruise and you guys are killing me. All I can see is the Monty python movie the meaning of life. THE SALMON MOUSSE.

Comfort comfort comfort. But don't do the pjs to the buffet as previously posted. It may just be a buffet buts it is still an eating establishment and not your kitchen.

Nice review, thank you. I only wish you wouldn't have mentioned the waiters getting extra drinks on the udp. Someone on here is gonna assume it's normal and ncl corporate will soon crack down on the servers.

this is for breakaway but i think its the same layout
pay attention to the notes at bottom . i believe 4 is the note that pertains to b1 cabins
