Hi, we have been to Reykjavik and Akureyri last year. In Akureyri we rented a car from Europcar, which was easy and very close to the docking area. In Reykjavik was also a rental car company in the docking area. I do not remember exactly, but I think it was Europcar, too. Never heard about another cruise terminal in Reykjavik.

Does anyone know, how many formal nights are there on a 14 days cruise to Northern Europe/Svalbard?
Thank you!:)

Hi,
we'll be on the Splendida in June, it's our second time on this ship. We've also booked a Bella Balcony, but we could choose the cabin and do the Web Check-in immediately, which includes providing passport/personal information to MSC, exactly.
Concerning the seating for dinner we want the late seating. Yesterday I checked the details on MSC's website and saw, that they have put in the early seating as our preferred seating. After contacting our TA, MSC changed this, but still the late seating is not confirmed until we will be on board, only Fantastica guests get a confirmation in advance.
On our last cruise with MSC we were assigned to a table with six other passengers, another couple and a party of four. At least we all had the same mother tongue.
If you are totally unhappy with the seating you finally got and want to know, where you sit in the dining room, you can go and ask the maitre d' after getting on board. But beware, those maitre d's aren't always nice and polite ...

The german MSC web site says that MSC will provide a shuttle between Hamburg central railway station and Steinwerder.

In Germany Hamburg is one of the cities most worth living in. There are many things to do and see. Even the harbour itself is an attraction. If you like architecture, go to St. Pauli Landungsbrücken, St. Michaelis Church, try to catch a guided tour in the old City Hall. Don't miss out the harbour tour by boat with the old Speicherstadt and the new HafenCity. From Steinwerder you can use the Old Elbe Tunnel to get into the city http://english.hamburg.de/attractions/nofl/4602592/old-elbe-tunnel/
Lübeck is nice, but I would definitely stay in Hamburg.

If the Disney Magic can use the SeaWalk, which was installed in 2013, 9.30 could be easily manageable, look here http://www.stranda-hamnevesen.no/. It depends on how many other ships will be in port.
Mt. Dalsnibba is great when the weather is fine and not foggy, the bus at 12.30 is scheduled to be back in Geiranger at about 2.30, so there would be still one hour left for something unexpected.

Last year the MSC Shuttlebus dropped us off in front of Harpa.
