  1. How about:

    1) class action business lawsuit on breach on contract to provide safe passage. This was no

    act based on an exception.

    2) dispute the credit card bill for same reason.

    3) complain bitterly to the passenger cruise rights on the abandonment of responsibility.

    and so on....

This was a highly serious situation. It could have erupted into a las vegas type catastrophy.

Didn't they learn anything from the ships where they had resource failure and people fought with waste?

  2. We’ve have cruises on carnival about 17 times never have felt unsafe are seen a brawl like the one we’re discussing. I to believe it’s a isolated incident and you can bet Carnival is going to deal with something that has hit the media like this incident right now and it’ll drive some policy changes.

  3. This is an international forum about cruises that nearly exclusively travel to international destinations, in international waters, with cruisers from all nations. America has nothing to do with it.

  4. Marriage is an equal right. Not being fired because of who you are is an equal right. A special right would be like only gay people can eat tacos on Tuesday.

  5. I'd say loudly talking in public about politics and/or religion could be considered by some to be rude, especially if you're doing it knowing it will upset people around you. Doesn't matter which side of the fence (or wall) you're on. :)

And I thank you for your service to our country.

I think we need to put it in context we live in a Country where we can openly talk about Politics and our faith as long as it’s respectful on both ends. As a Conservative and a Christian I have been on cruise ships with a Liberal think tank group I believe was called the Nation . Most of them were nice folks and you could discuss politics some wanted to throw Republicans of the ship and my comments about it (they’re joking ) I have had LGBT folks at my table they were fine folks and I am just as strong in my positions as they in theirs We must come to a point in this Country that we can have different views but still care and respect others . You know how many times on a Cruise I made friends with folks that where on polar opposites of my views but before we knew it we decided to like each other .

  6. Big assumptions. Or maybe since dinner has a scheduled time, the cruiser didn't have much of a choice? Sure, normally you would just go to dinner later and get the work done, but when you have to be there at a certain time, you may have to do what you have to do. Which means getting work done. Nice that you are so judgmental that you would consider this person a loser when you have absolutely no idea what they were doing or how important it may or may not have been.

Though I guess if someone else at another random table having a laptop in front of them is the rudest thing these cruisers have seen, then they have a pretty solid history of great cruises without the slightest bit of rudeness from other passengers.

  7. 35 cruises under our belt can’t say we ever had bad table mates moreover we made a lot of new friends. We have had a private table maybe 8 times and only one time had a couple that after the first night moved to another table but I am thinking it was motivated by the fact they didn’t speak English.

  8. I say keep the pressure on the TA until you get back what you want.

That’s the Plan but so far it’s been like pushing string . TA claims they have been on the phone for hours but no resolve yet. Makes no sense to me seems to be pretty cut and dry .

  9. Thank you all for your input we have been on over 35 cruises and been very blessed not to have any huge problems. We do have all the emails and correspondence so I feel confident in our stance but little shocked that between my phone calls today with our TA and Princess this is Not resolved. I own a business with 60 employees and to business in 7 states and understand we’re not infallible but when we screw up we take care of it pronto especially when the paper trail is so clear .
