I may have attached the wrong file.

Here is the link to the 2024 version

Thank you, the attachment opened. We are yet to sail on Silversea but do enjoy outdoor dining when weather permits. We have recently sailed on Explora1 which was amazing. The Arts cafe is probably a shame as we enjoy a good barista coffee.

Like you keen to hear what other areas are having a facelift.

According to the attached deck plan dated as from 10th May 2024

Thank you. When I download the attachment I can only see the plans from May 2021, am I missing something?

We felt like that about Journey in November, but totally different on Pursuit in February, despite the GI issues, pool closure etc.

To be honest it was our Onward cruise in November we felt was lacking We were on Quest last March and all was well. We sail again in July on Onward so hope for a better experience

The can do attitude always stood out for me on Azamara and it's clear that not so much now. Highlighted by the stellar service I received everywhere when I set foot on land in Japan.

So very true and our experience mirrors that exactly

  5. I noticed Silver Whisper I’d due in dry dock today for approximately 12 days or less.

Does anyone know what areas if any apart from mandatory mechanical , are being undertaken?

We haven’t sailed on this vessel but recent reports are not encouraging about the wear and tear factor. We shall be joining the ship in Singapore in February for our very first Silversea so would be good to get inside information from seasoned cruisers

    Many thanks

Sounds as though it is.  We had the tale of two cruises - one without him and one with him.  What a difference!   The first HD definitely needs more training.  Ryszard is the best!

Our experience exactly! We were lucky enough to have Ryszard on our Japan intensive last year where he went way above any expectations and quickly sorted any issues. Highly visible and approachable.

Compare that to our transatlantic in November on Onward . Never saw the Hotel Director , cruise was well below par to previous cruises. What a huge difference someone like him at the forefront makes. Have one more Azamara booked in July which is also on Onward so fingers crossed we shall have a better experience

service laundrettes, so thought I’d update it with the laundry directions from Saturn.  Posted in the deck 5 laundrette, I assume the same ones are posted on other decks.

We leave on Sunday and have a nine hour flight. Hopefully I may have cracked the code by the time we land😂

  8. Thinking about packing requirements for our upcoming cruise.
Do Viking have a complimentary tote style bag in the cabin? We have lots of sae days and such an item is handy to carry books, creams and caps etc.

If not I will include a couple in our case.

    Thank you

But we always have the SSBP, so I am not an expert, but I will ask. But you never know what you will get.  On a Panama cruise over New Years, we had a French champagne in our mini frig.

We are also on the March 18th transatlantic crossing. We have the SSBP so hope there is a champagne by the glass within the package , would love to know if that’s the case.

    Thank you

I'll be following your roll call.  We'll be back on Star 18 March for a TA, FLL/BCN.

We shall also join you on that sailing

    Looks like a full ship!
Have been asking on another thread if House champagne is now included in SSBP

Will be our third Viking Ocean

Just returned from Explora1 which was fabulous

    See you soon

Anyone onboard now or recently know if the above is still the case, if you have the SSBP and if so what brand is the house champagne?

    Many thanks

The marble steps from the deck 5 elevator to the Crema area will likely cause someone to fall and break something.  You can go around the elevator and use a ramp, but this is not self-evident.

I am currently on the ship and two nights ago fell down these steps. Inured my left side and head and few other bumps and bruises. Just beginning to feel a bit better and not wince when turning over. I was somewhat lucky because it could have ended much worse.

I received instant excellent care from the medical team.

Will definitely avoid this route for the rest of the cruise!

The next journey starting in Barbados will have 580 passengers.

    3. The following journey will have 750 passengers which I was told was the highest passenger count they’ve had so far.

    Thank you.

We embark on the 19th and remain onboard for three weeks . Hopefully we shall have learned when and where to go onboard before the very busy period.

It does sound like the ship is responsive to and acting on passengers feedback which is very positive.

Enjoy your NFL games, although new are from the U.K. our eldest son is a fan and watches many games on TV here.

     - I’m not sure what the count will be for your journey but I’ll ask next week and let you know

    Thank you that’s very kind.

Great that the Wifi is “ up to speed “ as it’s often an issue on other ships.

Enjoy the rest of your cruise

we hear this next leg will have only around 480.

We board in Barbados on 19th January, do you think this will be the possible passenger count for that leg? Good to hear your experience so far , it sounds wonderful and we can’t wait to find out for ourselves.

Explora so far ranks up there with them all and better in some aspects but it’s still early. I’d say give this cruise line a chance. They have a lot of potential!

Great start! Hope it continues for you and you have an unforgettable experience. Is the ship now sailing at capacity? We sail on January 19th and would love to know the potential passenger count for our cruise.

Thank you for your encouraging post
