  1. honestly we have never had an advanced reservation for Stingray City and we have always just gotten off the boat and picked up a tour once out of the tender village. One time it didn't pan out great as the tours all left too late to be able to get beach time after but otherwise we usually pay $25pp and get a snorkel and Stingrays plus they will drop you off on 7 mile beach afterwards if you want beach time.

  2. What is the options for renting a car near the port? What are some names of rental agencies near the port? Or is the airport our best option? Is so how much is the taxi cost to get to the airport? Thank you!

  3. we are going to be stopping at Falmoth next week on Norwegian Escape. We have went from Falmoth to Mo-Bay before and had a great time especially love the Pork Pit! Would like to do the same again. Can anyone advise of taxi costs for this trip? We prefer to do our own excursions and adventures on the island so nt interested in cruise line offerings.

  4. We have rented from Alamo near Puerta Maya before and got a great deal even on a busy port day. However we are looking to do so again and the rates are sky high. I am fine walking across street to another area or to the royal Caribbean pier next door but just need some names of the agencies so I can check rates on line. No really looking for any downtown locations. Also I know Puerta Maya has a website with a couple agencies listed but not much on there.

    Thanks in advance!

  5. Hello,

We will be visiting Falmouth for the first time on our upcoming visit in a couple weeks. I would like to know a few beach options for part of the day there. Not looking for any all inclusives or any of that as we prefer to just toss a towel down and enjoy. Mainly looking for Clean, Safe, Calm Clearwater beach. Typical Caribbean Style. Also looking at cost of transportation info as well. Thanks so much for advice!

  6. Hello,

We are looking for a calm Clearwater beach that we can go to on our upcoming visit in Cozumel. Their is going to be several ships in port the same time as we are so something that will be less crowded would be great. Not really looking for an alli inclusive either as we don't really drink and food doesn't really matter to us either. Thanks for suggestions in advance!

  7. Getting on the ship is not usually the problem in Jax as that usually goes pretty smoothly. The rather challenging part is usually getting off the ship at the end of the cruise. We have cruised from here several times and each and every time it is the slowest process! I sometimes feel like we could get off a boat in Port Canaveral over 2 hours farther down I95 and still be farther north up 95 by the time we get off the boat in Jax. Other than that we usually thoroughly enjoy our cruises from there!

  8. $8.00 a minute are they insane ! Why would they charge a higher rate no matter what level your at. I'm sorry that's just BS. So far I'm less then impressed with Royal and the things I'm learning about them, my Allure cruise should be interesting .

Yeah I agree that it is a little on the harsh side of things. I get it with all the other ways to communicate now that they may not get much usage but at least with Carnival they make it enticing enough to use as an option. Oh well I guess I won't be using the cabin phone unless absolutely necessary.

  9. Can someone please tell me the current in cabin phone call rate to call the USA on Freedom of the Seas? I hate using my cell while at sea but may need to depending on the cabin phone rate. We will be cruising Freedom in November and will need to call our Son back at home.

    Thanks!

  10. We are thinking that we want to go to Rodney Bay on our stop in St Lucia in May. We have done the "Island Tour" and really just want a beach day this time around. I have read on here that a taxi will run close to $30 each way. Please correct me if I am wrong. I have also read that you can take a local "bus" to the Rodney Bay area from the cruise ship pier. We will be on the Carnival Liberty and I know that last time we were on the Island in November on the Valor we docked at the more industrial pier so not sure which one we will dock at this time.

So I guess I would like to know where we can find this local bus that will take us to the Rodney Bay area. I think someone on trip advisor said it is the #1A bus? Where can we find this bus? Directions from both of the piers would be greatly appreciated!

Also where in Rodney Bay can we catch the bus back and how often do they run?

    Thanks in Advance!!!
