Hi everyone! I am about to book a cruise on the Legend and I have the choice between a premium balcony cabin or an extended balcony cabin. The premium balcony cabin is somewhat larger than a regular balcony, both the cabin and the balcony. My only concern is that it is located directly in front of an elevator. Will I be bothered by the elevator noise, should I choose another location and smaller cabin? Your input is very much appreciated!

Hi everyone! I am about to book a cruise on the Carnival Legend and I have the choice between a premium balcony cabin or an extended balcony cabin. Thank you reedprincess, this is exactly what I meant. Actually, I sailed Carnival, Norwegian, Celebrity and Royal and they all have bed position that alternates. I thought that all cruiselines/ships were the same. Apparently not!

Hello! I am planning a cruise on Regal and was wondering about bed configuration. I usually like the bed by the window. Does anyone know how it works? Is it alternate cabins? I am considering cabin C510, does anyone know where the bed is? Thanks!

What about wine? I know you are allowed two bottles per cabin. What if you put two bottles in your carry-on and two bottles in your checked luggage. How would they know? Do they keep a record of the two bottles you carry with you?

Thank you all! I agree with Rala, everything that I don't have to bring with me makes my life easier! Good trick with the rubber band btw.

Do you know which nigths of the cruise?

Anyone knows how many formal nights there are on a 7 day cruise onboard Jewel of the Seas?

Hi, just a quick question about the location of the hairdryer in the cabin. Is it fixed in the bathroom or can it be pluged anywhere in the cabin?
Thanks!

Hello! I will be setting sail soon and I know we are allowed to bring two bottles of wine per cabin. I have read somewhere that if they are put in the suitcases, they will not be delivered to your stateroom, that you will have to collect the suitcases yourself. Did anyone experience this? I do not want to carry the wine in my carry on and have to carry this around until the stateroom is ready, but on the other hand it is much more convenient to have your suitcase delivered to your door :-)
Thank you for your help!

Thank you all for your answers. I finally booked Jewel of the Seas, which was my first choice :-)

Hi all!
I had my heart set on a cruise onboard Jewel of the seas in 2017, but after visiting my travel agent, I might be tempted by a different itinerary on Adventure of the seas. I know that Jewel of the seas will be going into dry dock, so she should be looking all new, but I am worried about what state Adventure of the seas is in, since it is an older ship?
Thank you for helping me decide!

I would not spend $300 for the difference in size between the two categories. Is there some other mitigating factor about your present stateroom that makes you want to change?
Actually, my sister will also be on this trip and she booked a superior on deck 9. Since we wanted to be close and the deluxe on this deck are not close to the superior she booked, I was considering a superior myself. I am still not sure if it is worth it to spend 300$ to have 30 square feet of additional space... and be close to my sister.
Thanks again!

Hello everyone! I am considering a cruise onboard the Jewel of the Seas and was wondering if it was worth spending 300 $ more for a superior balcony cabin vs a deluxe balcony cabin? I have never sailed RCI so I do not know how big, or small are these cabins. I have sailed NCL Epic last year and thought the cabins were really small. Did not like the layout at all!
Thanks for helping me decide!

Thanks! This means we will have to go to bed early the night before ;-)

We did the following from Kotor (copied from my review from August 2010!) It was a lovely trip - really enjoyed it and no driving up windy mountain roads!!
Kotor
Up early (5.30am) for the sail-in to Kotor – another must-do/don't miss!! It was stunning, Fjord-like scenery. Did a half-day “Coastal Charms” tour here which took us to the pretty village of Perast, onto a little boat across to the pretty “Lady of the Rock” Island. We then continued by coach and across a car ferry and onto Budva, a large tourist resort which has a lovely old walled town. Here you have the option of freetime or a guided tour around. We weren't that impressed with the tourist area of Budva itself but the walled town was lovely. Back to Kotor and again the chance of a guided tour around the old walled town.
If our ship is scheduled to arrive in Kotor at 7am, how early should be rise if we want to be sure to view the sail-in ?
Thanks!

No, it never "makes sense" to break the law. Please, "mamoune," do not cheat. Not only would it make you guilty of a crime, but it would hurt the rest of us.
If enough people cheat Celebrity and they thus begin to lose money (or to profit insufficiently), they either will stop offering packages or will jack up the prices "artificially."
I was not thinking of cheating, actually, my husband and I are not drinkers... one package would not be worth it even for the two of us!!! I was just thinking out loud I guess... I am sure people do that kind of thing and was wondering how Celebrity could make sure that doesn't happen... so the cost of the package is fair for everyone. Sorry if you thought I wanted to cheat..

No, packages cannot be shared. If you want 2 drinks you need 2 cards.
What if you purchase a drink for you, and then, say 10-15 minutes later, you go back for another drink. Does that work? Or are you limited as to the number of drinks you order every day. For example, one could order a beer for oneself, and a few minutes later, order a specialty coffee that you could let your partner drink??? Or if you order a drink and bring it to your cabin, who would know who drinks it??? Does it make sense?

This sounds interesting. How many people were in your group?
