We will be in Falmouth in October and are looking for a nice beach day with snorkeling available. Comparing Chukka Beach and Doctor's Cave Beach, are the snorkeling and amenities at one better than the other and is a taxi about the same price? Thanks for any info

Bad things can happen anywhere. With that said, always be smart when travelling. Do not leave your valuables on the beach under a towel or chair, don't flash around a lot of cash, and pay attention to your "gut" (if you get a bad feeling/vibe, it's probably not a good situation)

We did ours online today and was all complete in 10 minutes! We are from Las Vegas as well. I just replied to your thread on the 11:15 flight from Sydney.

Hello fellow Las Vegan! We are flying on this flight in November 2017 so we will let you know how we do.?We are on NCL Jewel and I am currently searching for info for the train from Circular Quay to the airport which does not have to worry about traffic problems. When is your cruise?

We disembarked the ship and spent 7 hours sitting on the floor at the airport. They don't even open the gate area until 2 hours prior to the flight. The was no vending machines or seats available and it was miserable! Next time I would rent a car for the day or get a hotel.

We disembarked from the ship and spent 7 hours sitting on the floor at airport. It was hot and miserable! They don't open the airport access to the gates until 2 hours prior to the flight. I would recommend renting a car and driving around the island or getting a room for the day.

The market is a great way to spend some time getting souvenirs. It is the place to grab local food and those beautiful flower arraignments for your cruise cabin!

Jagoffee,

We just got back and I used Ivergordontours.com as well. We enjoyed our day out with Jim. A very charismatic Scot with a great since of humor! We were able to see many sights that a large cruise ship tour can't get to. Clean small van and they provided bottle waters which was a nice touch. As a private tour company you pick what you want to see and the prices are better than the cruise ship. Enjoy, Scotland is beautiful!!

We are taking International Friends to the ship via Stonehenge. You can check their website, they do private cars as well.

Thanks for the reply! I am prepurchasing the castle tickets online and didn't want to be out of 51 Sterling if we didn't dock😉
We are sailing on the CP right after you, we are departing on the 13th.
Hope your weather has been good, Happy sailing!

I know we cannot predict the weather but I am wondering if anyone knows if Princess has had to skip this port?

I have not cruised from Japan, but did spend 10 days in Tokyo and Kyoto and it was amazing! Beautiful country! It is worth spending extra time pre or post cruise. Enjoy!:D

Hello, we will be arriving in Edinburgh on May 22nd docking South Queensferry at 7 am. Should we go straight to the Castle and do the Royal Mile area then hop a bus to Rosalyn Chapel OR should we reverse the plan? Appreciate any suggestions/comments.

After much research, I selected Overlordtours.com for my D-day beaches tour when we dock in LeHavre. They have great reviews in TripAdvisor as well as these boards.

I just returned from there in May. I booked with Ephesusshuttle.com and had a wonderful experience. Booked online and was greeted by the guide at the pier with a sign that had my name on it. Escorted to our air conditioned Mercedes van, driver was very safe and polite. Our guide was FANTASTIC! She has a tourism degree and was so informative. We spent several hours together. We learned so much from her that we would have never known had we not taken the tour. She explained what everything was used for, why that particular carving or rock belonged there and who did what, where and why. Had the most amazing day and I will absolutely cherish my time in Ephesus!

I was just there in May. Yes, women were asked to cover their heads at the entrance. Your shoulders and knees must be covered as well. Everyone had to remove their shoes. We took a plastic bag to put our shoes in to carry them around. Don't stress about buying a scarf, I bought one at the local second hand store for $1.00. If you do not have anything to cover with, they will give you a cover that at the exit, is turned in to be re used.

Another recommendation for Ephesusshuttle.com
We booked on line, very quick response and wonderful communication and price. We were greeted at the pier by our guide, rode in comfort in an nice air conditioned Mercedes van. Driver was safe and polite. Our guide Yelda (hope I am spelling correctly) was FANTASTIC! She has a degree in tourism and was so informative at every site. We spent several hours together and felt that had we not be with her, we would have not appreciated the sites as much. Our day in Ephesus is something I will cherish forever.

We are going to Grenada in April. Haven't decided whether to take a tour or just go to a beach and relax. I would like to hear from anyone that has been there and what they enjoyed at this port of call.

My find at the local Dollar Tree was foldable cloth bins that fold flat for travelling but pop up to hold all kinds of junk (sunglasses, ipods, chargers...) that accumulate on the counter tops. You can purchase different colors/sizes for each cabin occupant then everyone will know where their stuff is. ;)
Southern Cross (Crux)
in South America

Thank you! We will be in SA in Feb 2024 and will be looking for it ( and I will be humming the CSN song in my head). We really hope there is an expert onboard to help us find the Southern Cross as well as other constellations in the night sky 🌠
