Swissotel has an MRT station right under the hotel. So easy with air con all the way to the station.

Does anyone know if Taxis &/or Ubers are readily available in Christchurch & Dunedin Ports? Or are they likely to have the same issue with people queuing & price gouging due to the cost of the shuttle bus?

Trying to look at different options & book 2 cabins (balcony & inside) opposite each other.
Can’t find a way to ‘pick’ our cabins even doing a dummy booking up to the point of paying deposit.
Do they not allow you to choose anymore?

She was due to leave @ 2.00pm but is still moored as at 7.50pm.
Usually high winds delay departures from Portside but it’s quite calm today.
Does anybody know what the hold up is?

Awesome thanks for pics & location in Akaroa (I would have walked right!) They would happily get in the water even if its a little cold. They aren't little anymore but not quite full on teens so still love to swim.
Itinerary says Marlborough (Picton) but no mention of where we dock. Although it does say docked, not tender.

No wave action = no problem
They just like getting in the water no matter what 🙂

Looking for suggestions of nice beaches or swimming spots in / around Picton and Akaroa. Needs to be easy to get to/from port as want to avoid hiring a car (cab, uber, bus all OK).
Travelling with family and none of the Private or Cruise tour activities appeal to them. All the kids want to do is swim and eat nice food!
Already tried to book swimming with Dolphins but its all sold out.
Thanks for your help 🙂

Done one so far out of New York (well technically New Jersey) and have another booked from Miami. Absolutely loved our Caribbean cruise so going back again :)

ahhhhhh thank you so much!!!!! that museum in DC looks incredible! This means we can skip the Intrepid Museum in New York and free up a day. It's a shame there is no easy way to get there via public transport or even tourist bus. We seem to be forced to hire a car. But thats OK :)
Looks like the Airboat in Port Canaveral will make the most sense now.
-
Yes we arrive at noon & sail at 9.30pm.
I really like the idea that we could hire a car and see both attractions. Maybe even see Ron Cocoa beach for a bit. But given the car needs to be back before 6.00pm is that enough time? Or do the rental companies stay open later when a ship is in town?? Is there a better company to use??? Their websites aren't very helpful.

At the moment I am tossing up if we should go to the Space Centre. We are 2 Adults & 2 Children from Australia.
The thing is, we have been to the Endeavour Exhibition in Los Angeles. Plus we are planning on going to the Intrepid Air Space Museum in New York & the Air Space Smithsonian in DC. So we will have seen quite a bit of space stuff already.
Whilst I realise at Kennedy we will get to see the launch pads etc and it is special to visit NASA. Will we be repeating a lot of what we have already seen in other locations?
We also would really love to do an Airboat ride as an alternative whilst in port. It's something unique to Florida which we may never get the chance to do again. But equally, we may never get to NASA again either!
What are your thoughts?

Thank you both that is super helpful. We do have kids so it sounds like the Jungle Adventure may be the better option for us. I'm still tossing up if we should do the Space Centre or Air Boats. Its a hard decision to make.

Royal Caribbean have 2 different airboat excursions. :-
Airboat Adventure Lone Cabbage (3 hours)
Florida Airboat Ride and Alligator Jungle (5 hours)
Can anyone let me know if one tour is better that the other? The price difference is minimal.
Thanks

We always stay at the Swissotel Stamford with our 2 kids. The MRT & shopping centre is directly underneath which makes it a super convenient.

The Embassy Suites look like a great choice. Especially as it is right next to a shopping mall.
What do you think of the Hilton Penn Station? Is this the station we would get off the train??

7th April cruise departs New Jersey. 14th April to JFK from cruise terminal. Children are 10 and 7
Thanks for your help i really appreciate it.

2 adults, 2 children on a Saturday in April 2018. We have a reasonably flexible budget. Our flight to Australia leaves at 6.00pm. Dont mind if we have to kill some time at JFK. Would rather be there too early than stress about being late.
-
Hi,
We are from Australia so need your local knowledge.
Planning to be in Washington DC before our cruise that leaves from New Jersey. Is it possible to catch a train from DC to (near) the Port? Can it be done on the day of the cruise or better to do the day before?
Then, how easy is it to get to JFK from New Jersey Port (evening flight). Does Royal Caribbean do a group transfer? Or do I book a private shuttle?
Thanks :)

I got off Explorer yesterday. We had to skirt our way around the tail end of what was left of Cyclone Debbie on the way up to the Islands. Can tell you that was no fun at all! Hope everyone stays safe.

I'm not getting the option to pay with onboard credit when I add the package to my account :(
Maybe it's too close to sailing date for it to work (30 March)? Although it does say orders can be added up to 3 days prior.
Luggage Tags Not Available at this time

Quick question. Trying to print out Luggage Tags for cruise that leaves in 2 days.
As the title says, they are not available at this time. Have I left it too late? or possibly a system error that will resolve in a few hours?
Of course today is the only day I can print them as Officeworks will be shut tomorrow & I don’t have a printer at home.
If I can’t get them printed in time, will I be able to hand write them at OPT?
