I was watching a Youtube video of a couple that came off of a Carnival ship. Shes a pretty big blogger. She has her own Youtube channel. The name has something to do with nervous traveler ( cant recall) They went to 7 mile beach, and left over 2 hours early,  thinking they had so much time to get back only to find ridiculously long tender lines. She claims she got on the last tender. This is why I asked  

How much time would you allow to get back on the ship if you have to take a tender in Grand Cayman? I see people saying the lines get crazy 

The ship wants to sell transportation to and from the ship for $44 dollars per person. That seems crazy expensive considering what I read here it only costing under $15 round trip! Do many of you just do that and get back to the ship in time. I will by on Freedom at the end of the month. Im a little cautious about doing something on my own but I don't want to overpay!

I too am very dissapointed. I booked 3 cabins and am paying for all to celebrated my 60th. I just cancelled a Mexican trip in September. I have no desire to go to Mexico and now have no choice. Annoyed also that NCL decided this after final payment. I would never have imagined they would do this with other ships already back doing an Eastern itinerary!

We sail April 15th and received an email that it will be changing to Western

We just made our final payment and found out today it was being changed. We are not happy!

any other suggestions on what to do on Tortola?

We will be cruising on the Getaway and stopping in Tortola in April. We are a family of 6 adults. I have been reading these boards to get ideas on what to do. I see the Baths are popular but my concern is rushing to get there and back and not having a relaxing day because we don't have much time in port. I see the beach at Cane Garden Bay is a good option and easy to get there by taxi? My concern is getting back to the ship. Are there taxis at the beach to take you back to the ship?
