1. Hi, Is anyone aware of a resource (some sort of chart perhaps) that shows which princess ships have a promenade deck? I mean a deck with an open air walkway that goes completely around the periphery of the ship from forward to aft. These were on almost every cruiser till about 6-8 years ago with the advent of balcony-specialty-restaurant-retail fever. :(

Thanks for any advice, Howard

2. I have two of the $500 Compass Rewards from the old program. I want to give them to my daughter and her husband to use but after reading through some (not all) of this thread I decided I would just call NCL and ask. The rep I spoke to asked some questions, checked something and came back and said that I could give them to my daughter. He said just give them to the TA when making her reservations. This was the answer I wanted but I hate the idea of dangling a $1,000 incentive to book a cruise for them only to later be told, "sorry". Has anyone else done this?

The language concerning redemption states that one of the card holders must occupy the cabin that gets the discount. It is very clear on this point, but NCL can certainly waive this if they wish. Hope that your daughter has a fun cruise.

3.
Has anyone received credit on their cards yet for sending in the 'final' certificates? I sent mine in a week ago and was hoping for the credit to appear on my cards yesterday but nothing yet...
*******************************************

I am waiting as well. I applied my $500 cert towards a cruise that I had made final payment. On the NCL website I see where I have a $500 credit but none of my cc's have been credited just yet. I keep checking them all because final payment was made with BOA MC, but the deposit was made with Discover.
I mailed the cert about a week ago.
I was a little nervous about getting the coupons credited to my NCL credit card, but it worked just fine. I booked the cruise on Feb 9, paying the full amount since it was beyond the final payment date. On the 10th of Feb. I sent the coupons to NCL in Miami using Priority Mail and tracking. They arrived in Miami on Feb. 12th. On Feb 20 NCL issued a credit to Bk. of Am. for the $1000. Very happy with the efficiency of this and with our DEEPLY discounted cruise.

Good luck, Howard
4. Hi, I am like everyone else, concerned that the new program will be a bust. However, let's keep in mind that our program will be the *NCL* Worldpoints program, not the Worldpoints program; this according to the letter. We still do not know exactly what that program will do when we cash in for future NCL cruises. We are told that notification will come in Dec. explaining the new deal.

I am staying positive until given reason to be otherwise.

5. Hi, Once I get about 900 points, I make sure that I occasionally check my account at BOA's web site. Say my last statement shows I have 940 points, so if my current online total goes over $2,000, I start losing points. By keeping an eye on my current balance, I know when to stop using my primary active card and switch over to the currently inactive one. This all assumes that the 1,000 points are earned in less than 12 months. Being retired, it usually takes us about 10-11 months to hit the barrier. The only problem with the NCL card is that it keeps us cruising only NCL, but it keeps us cruising !
