Just got off the Caribbean on Saturday. We were at 18-19.5 knots daily. No vibration or rattling all week. Didn’t know of any possible issues, just smooth sailing.
-
We were just at Megan’s Bay on Tuesday. We paid $16 ( for two) plus tip which was on an open air taxi bus from Best Taxi Company. We paid $8.00 ( plus $5.00 deposit) in cash only, for a lounge chair. They had no umbrellas to rent, we asked. Shade is best sitting close by the bar/restaurant. Plenty of taxi’s available when ever you decide to return. We were in a closed minivan that had little to no air conditioning returning to the ship. Not a wise choice.

Not knowing where Sunset Bar is located, I’d venture to say no. There is nothing around Karakter’s, it is away from everything. You would have a long walk to the nearest anything.

We made it to Karakter’s! 20 minute taxi ride from the cruise port area. Paid $20 one way for two people. The staff are very helpful and set us up with loungers and an umbrella just for the asking. Planning on lunch later in the day. Maxine comes to us on the beach to take our drink orders. Highly recommend this relaxing beach day! We are right by the airport with the planes flying overhead.

We are currently on Caribe and received the medallion which was unexpected. So far all we have used it for is to unlock our door.

We are headed to St. Martin next Thursday and have been reading the link below. Trusting a taxi to take us and pick us up. I’ll let you know how it was.

September 1st we’ll be on the Caribbean. I’m trying to find out if platinum and elite still receive free internet service or should I look into buying the service beforehand?
-
I also am curious of taxi prices and how much time should we plan on traveling to and from Simpson Bay.

When we fly into FLL we remove our airline tags and then place our printed cruise tags on our luggage. We then go to any desk and ask to use their stapler. Folks have always helped us out with no problems.

We also will be three in a cabin with balcony on the Crown next week. We are to have beds set up for singles and a roll away added. I assume since this is not the first time for Princess to accommodate three in a cabin I trust they will take care of the logistics of a roll away.

Many thanks for answering my question. Will be taking my two adult daughters (who have never cruised) on the Crown in February. Now I can share that tidbit of information with them.
-
For our next cruise in February our plane arrives in FLL at 9:00 am. The next available flight would arrive in FLL at 3:30. We chose the 9:00 flight, which by the way, is the cheapest. Yesterday I received an email from Princess telling us our recommended boarding time is 3:30. Really? We will eat breakfast at the airport and head to the ship. What are they going to when we have preferred boarding? Do people really follow these guidelines?

We are sailing on the Crown February 18th. Can anyone answer if the carpet is still red and blue on each side of the ship? Just curious. Thanks!

I too would be interested in what is offered on a five day cruise compared to a seven day.

I am planning a Caribbean cruise in January and would like for my two girls, who have never cruised, to join me. I will be paying for the cruise and we will be sharing one room. I would like to know how the week will work out with my perks and/or with two newbies in the room. Looking for information how pre-boarding, internet, captains circle, etc. Looking to cross this experience off my bucket list. :)

Will be on the Royal in November. Is it best to book another cruise for January while on board or would it be better to book the cruise now?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

After becoming platinum, we really enjoyed PES and met some great people. Just a nice way to relax. The last cruise we were on, the PES was not offered. Will be on the Royal in a few days and sure hope we have the opportunity made available once again.

A google search has the Holiday Inn Express on Commercial Dr. 12 miles from Fort Lauderdale Hollywood airport and 11 miles to Port Everglades. Called the hotel to confirm my findings. Since there are no close restaurants, several of them deliver, problem solved. I appreciate all of the responses.

I called the hotel but did not ask the distance to cruise port. My mIn concern was airport shuttle, which they have and also shuttle to cruise port which they use a third party for $8 each. You sign up for shuttle when you check in. They also have a pool, free wifi, and complimentary breakfast which I was also looking for. Don't need much for breakfast since we'll be on the Caribbean Princess eating too much all week. Now just trying to figure out dinner for 4th of July.

Just booked pre-cruise hotel on W. Commercial Drive. Any comments on hotel? Any recommendations to eat dinner?
Contrave
in Lose Before You Cruise
Posted
I have been on Contrave for 9 months and have lost 30+ lbs. I have had no side effects what so ever. I need to get serious before my cruise in December.
