Any advice for playing in the Grand Final Slot Tournament? Is there any strategy at all or does everyone get the same number of pulls? I've been reading the info sheet, but it doesn't get very specific and I'm already getting nervous! Is this a time consuming event lasting more than one day? Wish me luck!

I was looking at pics of cruise rooms and there are accessible suites on the legend which have both a tub and walk-in shower with a pull down bench; so I would definitely call special needs and see if one is available and they can switch you and waive any fees that may be associated with a switch.

Hi all. I'm a new cruiser & was curious about the process with boarding with FTTF. I've never been through the process & wanted to make sure that I get my $59 worth :) . I will be on the Freedom out of Galveston on June 27. Is this the process?
1) Drop off luggage (will they mark my luggage differently?)
2) Go through security & show my bp & passport.
3) Go to the lobby with other priority boarders & wait to be called to board ship.
Is this pretty much it? Is there an actual line for FTTF? When am I assigned my sail & sign card? I sail in 2 weeks & trying to plan everything out. Thanks again for your input.
I am also booked on the Freedom June 27th!
1) you will drop off luggage with porters - your luggage tags should state "priority" on them, but it always mention it to the porter )in case they don't see the priority) and they will put another priority sticker tape on the luggage.
2) There is a line for Platinum and FTTF - depending on your arrival to port you will wait until they start the pre-boarding process, proceed through security and show boarding pass and passport, then through the scanners, then upstairs to lobby. There you will get in another line where you will give them your health questionnaire and to another counter to get sail & sign card. At this point you can put boarding pass and passport/ID away and only keep your sign & sail card out....you will be directed to the section for FTTF seating and wait until you are called to board; that is depending on your time of arrival and whether boarding is already in process. Bon Voyage and have a wonderful cruise!

I am most interested in enjoying the beach, not other additiional activities, so which beach is better? Also, what is the approximate time/distance from Mohogony Bay port? The plus for Tabyana is it is offered as an excursion through Carnival and LFK is not -- a little worried about going to an island without the Carnival excursion guarantee.

When I filled out the price protection form, in the comments section, I wrote "DD214 should be on file" and had no problem getting price drop approved.

My sister just got off the Magic Sunday and said she purchased the bottomless bubbles sticker and a glass which was sold where she bought the sticker. when she took her glass to get a soda, she was charged 12 cents. When she questioned the charge, she was told there was no charge if she got it in the regular glass?? She was confused and stated she had bought the Carnival glass when she purchased the sticker, but they insisted there was the charge is they put the soda in her glass. Has anyone else experienced this? I have purchased this in the past and was never charged to get soda in the Carnival glass.p, but I no longer use my own glass as I dint want to keep up with a glass.

Doesn't the Carnival Freedom also have the fish and chips one deck above the buffet? We are cruising on the Freedom in March.

I also talked a little with the group I was helping and they said they were given strict instructions that staterooms and stateroom hallways were off limits!

I was told by my PVP if final payment has not yet been made, he could submit the price drop, but after final payment, I had to fill out the price drop form and submit it myself. Also, the price drop has to be for the same room category you are in or if a higher room category drops less than what your price is, you can file for the reduced rate.

We helped a group of girls in their scavenger hunt when they came out on the Lido deck.....they were a little shy not wanting to bother people and they returned after their hunt excited to show us their winning medals!

I also take a sham wow to roll wet swimsuits in to remove excess water and speed up drying time,

I keep cruise documents, credit cards, money, passport, birth certificate, etc. - keeps everything together and easy to pull out at check-in. Also fits flat easily the safe and hard to miss when clearing out the safe at the end of the cruise. I also put my cell phone in it.

Anyone actually cruised out of Galveston on the Magic and purchased the Cheers alcohol program ------ can it be purchased on the first day? I read on another post that due to Texas liquor laws, it couldn't be purchased the first day. I just got off the phone with Carnival and was told she saw no restrictions as to Texas, so it should be able to be purchased the first day. Anyone out there know for sure?????

It became a game after that night. The next night was the guy under the bed. The final night I didn't see a towel animal and i decided that our steward didn't have time to play...until I opened the bathroom door, and there hung the monkey! It was startling to say the least! It was such a fun cruise.
How fun was this room steward!!!!! I have so enjoyed all the towel animals on my cruises.

One other question....the Conquest has the Sur Mer on the 10th deck; what types of specialty restaurants besides buffet, MDR, pizza and steakhouse does the Magic have?

I recall reading a post about a new area near the Wet Lizard at the port that now had a swimming area and a rope swing into the water....does anyone have any info regarding this? Interested in shopping at the port and was wondering if was any water activities at the port so we can wear swimming attire.
