  1. We booked a 7 day Eastern Caribbean trip on MSC Seaside a few months ago. Since then, all I’ve heard from CC as well as my TA what a nightmare it is to call MSC and get somebody on the phone to help them. I’m sure people have had that experience but I thought you’d like to hear a positive report for a change. I called yesterday afternoon to upgrade my “ Drinks on us” package to the Ultimate drink package. I anticipated a horror show of a lengthy wait and to my surprise, my call was answered within 1 min of calling. I spoke with Michael who was very helpful and had my upgrade done in about 5 mins. It was a great experience. Now looking forward to our cruise on 9/29 and putting our drink package to good use.

  2. They wouldn't honor it after final payment, would they? My daughter is a teacher. She recently took on a second job so she join us in YC for an upcoming cruise. She just paid off the cruise a few weeks ago. We had no idea about this discount. Even if they'd offer her a credit in the form of an OBC, that would be great, but I'm guessing once you've paid it off, they are not interested in discounts or refunds.

     

     

     

    I just went thru this the last few days. I’m sailing on Seaside on 9/29 and right after I made final payment 7/23, I found out about a Military/ First Responder discount. My TA & I got in touch with MSC and they said send in an email with booking # and documentation. Long story short, Today, 3 weeks after I made Final Payment, I was issued a refund to my cc of 155.80. They gave me a 10% discount, so Im very happy. I would keep trying, all they can say is No..:). Good luck.

  3. UPDATE***. After some back & forth between MSC and my TA, I faxed in my documentation and MSC gave me the Military Discount in the form of a refund. Kudos to MSC for doing the right thing. They’ll get the refund back many times over but it’s much appreciated. Can’t wait for Seaside..:)

  4. Thanks Dennis, that is the email I have used and I did get the no-reply response but as of yet, no other contact from them. I’m going to keep trying...all they can say is no..:)

  5. I read on one of the threads here on CC that MSC offered discounts to First Responders/Military even after final payment. I called my TA who got an MSC rep on the phone who told me to email my documentation to them and they would consider my request. Well, we are 4 emails in now with no reply from MSC. I don’t hold out a lot of hope that they’ll answer me but I’m going to keep trying. We shall see.
