We use Travel Guard for our annual policy but it is much higher than that. Allianze has one much cheaper for an annual policy. I have never had to use before, but carry just in case.

Just called and I am choice, which means nothing; not even 5% off to allow me to get cash on sail card to use in casino. :( My cruise last Jan, will not count. They said the email should come out in May. Sounds like I might be enjoying the ship more this time and the casino less.

I have been on the Carnival Valor, we enjoyed the ship.

My best "educated guess" and this is based on what I've read on CC and what I've heard from people firsthand is that Royal was once better, in general. But now that is no longer the case. What I've heard on Royal ships and read on CC is that Carnival is kicking butt when it comes to food. Royal kicks butt when it comes to entertainment. Carnival has larger staterooms.

 

The other categories seem to be up to personal preference.

I think you have it right! I am the same level on both lines but have been on much more Carnival than RCCL. I do like the food on Carnival better, I like my perks on Carnival much better than on RCCL. I do not think Carnival can touch RCCL on entertainment. Other than the newest ships, I do find Carnival to be cheaper. The internet is much cheaper on Carnival, I love their social and onboard program.

The ship chooses the restaurant, and you can change it pending available space.

I was told they only sell so many and may not have on all the ships.

i never get any e-mails from RCI and I cruise with the line almost exclusively.

I wasn't either, but when they checked my profile I had it turned off under setting. Once that was changed I am now getting.

On the Oasis in Jan, we had to go look for them down the hall. I asked and they said no certain order. Cabins were not open until 1:30 for you to drop off anything.

Our ship does not arrive until 1:00pm. Please give some us some suggestions, first time to Bermuda? Is this too late to go the beach? We have an Island tour with Ricky Island Tours the next day. We cruise out at 5:00 pm.

Appreciate any advice?

Loving your review, also a Carnival lover but doing RCCL next month. I have not been on the larger CCL or RCCL ships. The last 2RCCL cruises turned us away for awhile so looking forward to trying again. Going on the Explorer of the Seas. Again, love the way u r comparing the options of each ship. Thanks

You can bring your cups, they are not going to know when you got them. But if you want the use the drink package you have the sticker on your Sail card.

I just checked my emails (including my spam folder) and don't see anything. Was it from the Player's Club or directly from Carnival?

 

I need to email the Players club to find out what (if anything) I'll be getting for my 11/1 cruise. Guess I could ask about Casino Cash offered with this, but I was hoping to go ahead and get something booked this weekend. It could take them days to respond. :(

On the Nov 1, cruise. Just went to check for offers before making final payment and saw this under carnival.com - VIFP club - Offers it will tell you if you qualify for any specials. I changed to the Casino offer, only $50 in price different but free drinks and Casino cash. So YEA!

I have a casino cruise in 19 days and I got the voucher in the mail last week. But, last year on our Premier Casino cruise, we got it in the room. I don't think it matters since they have to find you on a list weather you have the voucher or not.

This has all changed now that they are selling FTTF. Use to be you could bring non-platinum with you but not anymore.

My daughter, SIL and grand daughter in one cabin 1, me - (Plantium), signaficant other (Plantium) and grandson (minor) in another cabin 2. We have always boarded together in the past. I paid for both cabins, so no I am not going to buy them FTTF.

To the OP - I usually leave a box of Girl Scout Cookies and extra cash and a card that says "Thanks A Mint". If others don't like the idea that is your choice.
