  1. Shortly after we were married, we embarked on a Panama Canal cruise departing from Acapulco. It was memorable as it was our first time going through the canal, we made some friends we still communicate with today and have several stories that our friends are tired of hearing.

One of the memorable events was the day my husband was coming back from the gym. My husband was wearing a T-shirt from a restaurant in our area. While we were getting on the elevator, a female passenger saw the T-shirt, looked up, recognized him and called his name. Unfortunately, it was his ex-wife, whom he had not seen for years.

Near the end of the cruise, the Captain announced there was a hurricane headed toward us. So the ship turned south and, after a couple of days, we docked at Aruba. Royal Caribbean chartered several planes for every one on board, and arranged for flights to our hometowns. It was most impressive

We are still not sure which event was most memorable

  2. The last cruise we were on we had late seating and had asked for a large table. We were given a table of twelve.  We went the first night and there were two young couples sitting at the end of the table.  We started to sit next to them and we were told that we needed to sit at the other end because the other seats were saved for the rest of their family.  We were able to change to select dining.

  3. We are both over packers. My husband just says he keeps his eyes down when dragging all the luggage and don't make eye contact with people staring at all the suitcases. He figures if they are judging us we will not ever see 99% of them again after our cruise.

  4. Our visits to Cellar Master on the Reflection are some of our greatest onboard experiences. We are wine lovers and Stefania always had a new recommendation for us. The tastings that we attended resulted in new favorite wines. We always went here instead of the Elite cocktail hours. It was always our favorite place to meet friends and stop in to grab a glass of wine before going to dinner or the shows.

  5. Thanks for all your answers and suggestions. We will bring a couple of bottles of wine on with us and get to know some of the bartenders. I think if they know what we are looking for they will be able to find something for us. I wasn't sure if the gastro pub had wine I thought it might just be beer. We also know that a few tips here and there really helps.

    Again thank you.

  6. We will be going on the Equinox soon. We are wine drinkers and like to be able to stop for a glass of wine to bring to our cabin and also to bring to the shows at night. We are spoiled after being on the Reflection with Cellar Masters for our last few cruises.

Where is the best place to pick up a good glass of wine on the Equinox? We will have the premium drink package.

  7. I totally agree that you talk to Stefannia in Cellar Masters. If you tell her what kind of wine you like and what package you have she will be able to find many wines to your liking. She thinks of Cellar Masters as her home and she wants everyone to be happy there. Our last few cruises have been on the Reflection and we enjoyed sitting in the leather wingback chairs having our wine before dinner. We would then bring a glass into the dining room.

If you go please tell her Dick and Sharon say hi and that we miss her.

If you have dinner in Blu look for Violeta. She will also be able to help.
