  1. My father and husband were fine with short sleeve collared shirts in the MDR. Both wore either polo style shirts or short sleeve cotton button downs with khakis. They did wear suits on the Chic Night, but that was personal preference to dress up nicer.

That is what I was hoping for. Thank you for the quick reply.

I don't mind wearing formal clothing on Formal night - but long sleeve shirts every night would have been a bummer !!! :)

    8 days and counting !!!!!

Thank you again for your posting the sheets, and your quick reply.

  2. I am going on this cruise on August 19th, and was looking through the newsletter that PiratessLooksAt40 posted (Thank you for that - it makes the trips seem even better being able to make plans ahead of time !!! According to the "Today" newsletter which were posted here, it states that the "Evening Dress Code" for restaurants (after 4:30 pm) and the Celebrity Theater for men is "Pants or designer jeans with a long sleeve shirt, button down shirt, or sweater. Sport coat or blazer is optional."

I can't wear a short sleeve dress shirt (button down) to dinner ?

Or do they just mean no short sleeve t-shirts ? I have been on quite a few cruises, and never remember having to wear a long sleeve shirt to dinners or shows at the Theater.

    Thanks,

    Ken

  3. I have used my travel agent for all of my cruises. I started the first time because I saw an advertisement from him I took advantage of. He gave me so many good tips and hints that really helped make the vacation special, so I decided to use him ever since. He does give OBC based on the cost of the cruise, but I find his knowledge and expertise is worth far more.

He will also book our flights and hotels, if needed, and handles any problems that may arise - even if they are not his fault. It is definitely worth having someone to fall back on for help, if things don't go right.

My advice, since it costs the same, use a travel agent.
