I have emailed the Dream Maitre’d three times for three different cruises and received a reply only once, however have had my requested table assigned on each occasion.
Also, each request was made months out, so based on my experiences, they have your request and will accommodate if possible.
If not, a trip to the dining room on boarding day might be in order.

I understand your concerns, however we have stayed in that exact cabin on the Dream a couple of years ago and found it to be great.
Close to the center of the ship, only a couple of flights down to the casino or the lanai area, close to the Crimson dining room if you are doing 'your time dining' and should you decide to do some laundry, well your right there to start it and go back across the hall to sit on your balcony while waiting on it to finish.
There is always activity in the halls so might as well be close to the center and easy access to the elevators. The hot tubs are far enough away to have not been a problem for us.
We would book it again without hesitation--enjoy the cruise.
BTW- if you need another ironing board, a quick run down one flight of stairs will get you a room with two boards and no washing machines.

Scarlet is assigned
Crimson is YTD

Have they started this on the Dream?

It was a long time ago. I am in the 3rd row on the left.
Very funny....still laughing

I haven't stayed in 6474, however I have stayed across the hallway in 6476.
Didn't notice any issues with noise from the lounge. Also, quite hallway without much foot traffic and pretty close to elevators!

My folks just celebrated their 60th this year and part of the celibration was on the Dream in June....they had a ball and we are going again in Sept. Back on. The Dream.
They enjoyed the shows, the friendly staff, the casino and the casual atmosphere. Although we haven't been on the Splendor, I would bet it is very similar.
Also, I'm guessing that if they are still ambitious enough to travel they will have a great time no matter where they are.
Enjoy your travels with them.

We were in the scarlet and he and an assistant visited often. You might include your booking number as well
He made some table suggestions for us and it was great.
enjoy!

Just off the "Dream" June 28th
Maitre'D was Ante Kulusic
He was very helpful with table selection and responded to emails.

Just off Dream 6.28.15
No charge for ironing, deck 6 midship has two boards and never was a line
Used the washers and dryers on deck 7 and had no issues...also is an ironing board in that room as well, but it usually was busy while people waited on their clothes to finish

Dream Maitre'd response
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Two years ago, after sending an email to the Dream Maitre’d and requesting a specific table I received a response confirming the request. Last year sent the same type of request and didn’t receivie any follow up, however my request was honored and notated at checkin.
I sent a request a couple of months ago for our cruise later this month and have not received any follow up.
So, as many will say, the Maitre’ds do not have to respond and it is hit and miss on the follow up, however so far we have always got our requested table.
