A meal with Drag Queens. Usually involving performances and oftentimes audience participation. The Queens usually wander around and perform among the diners. Scarlet Lady is featuring Drag Queens onboard the ship with a Drag Brunch and Dinner. A few of the Queens have great Instagram accounts you can follow along.

I am reserved for the March 8 brunch.  It doesn't say anything about brunch with drag queens for this event.  Just a 4 course Brunch.  I am cool with it either way, but i'm just saying this particular event may not have drag queens.

  2. Loved Oli's Trolley in Bar Harbor for a tour of Acadia National Park and had great lobster rolls at the Thirsty Whale

In Saint John we used Roy's Tours for a private tour (with a local of Acadian descent) to St. Martin and the sea caves with a great lunch at the Caves Restaurant and a short tour of part of the Fundy Trail.

  3. This happened to me too. Just off Anthem on 12/16. There was an extra $12.32 on my credit card charges. When I called they stated it was for the bottled water I didn't drink. The agent stated she would remove the charge. My parents who were on the same sailing in a different cabin had the same incorrect charge on their credit card also. I find it hard to believe this "mistake" is made so often.

  4. I am on the Anthem right now. This is night 4 of the 7 day Bahamas cruise. There has been live music in the Music Hall, Boleros, Two70, and the Schooner bar every night.

For after the late seating there were a few options each night. For example, this evening had a guitar concert in The Music Hall from 9:15 to 11, One Love Band in Two70 from 9:45 to midnight, piano bar music in the Schooner Bar from 9:45 to late, and Latin Music in Boleros from 10 to midnight.

Tomorrow's schedule for night live music includes dance music with Synergy in Music hall from 9:15 -11:45pm, piano bar music from 9:30pm in Schooner, rock guitar music in Vintages from 9:15pm, and latin dance music with Mirage from 9:45pm on in Boleros.

I have read your previous posts about your concerns regarding live music on the Anthem. I don't think you need to worry. There are 4 music venues each night with live music. These are in addition to the nightly production shows in the theater and two70, and the DJ.

I am a veteran cruiser but this is my first time on Royal and on Anthem. I am having a great cruise and I hope you do too.

  5. You will not lose any space with a connecting door in a mini suite on the Jewel. It is across from the bathroom door. In non-connecting mini suites it is just a blank wall where the connecting door would be.

In the thumbnail below the connecting door is the white door to the right of the blue cabin door. This is Jewel Mini suite 11014.

  6. We usually cruised the first or second week of December from NYC and found very few kids onboard. Actually the ship never seemed full.

I agree with above poster. I have sailed the first or second week in December from NYC several times and there are only a few kids, the ship is never full, and the prices are excellent. In early Dec. we have seen them putting together the gorgeous gingerbread village and other Christmas decorations which is fun.

I will post a review after I go there in January!

  8. We just got back from Bermuda today. Thanks 32N64W for your great directions (and photos) to the sea glass beach. We could have easily walked from the Dockyard, but we already had transportation passes and it was a bit rainy. We went aboard the "Special" bus to Horseshoe Bay as the driver said it was OK to get off at Naval Cemetery. At the bus stop we crossed the street, went behind the houses and down the stairs like you had written. The stairs are in disrepair but if you are careful they are OK.

The beach was FANTASTIC. I have never seen anything like it. It was amazing to see all the glass and hear the tinkling of the glass as the waves brought more in. We collected a big ziplock full of beautiful pieces. There were two other couples on the beach at the same time as us. We got on a #7 bus back after taking a great photo of some colorful chickens in front of a blue church across the street.

Without reading this thread we never would have gone there and would have missed out. Thanks again!
