  1. :DThe buffet has pats of butter (if I remember it is a good quality butter) and if you use coconut oil you can bring a small jar from home.

I have not seen Heavy whipping cream on the ships, but could use half and half - if your not watching carbs that closely!

Maybe bring a shaker container to mix it in!

  2. Chlorine goes with fresh water pools.

Bromine goes with salt water pools.

I would bet that most ships use Chlorine in the Hot Tubs! Cheaper than Bromine. Bromine/Bromide is good for Hot Tubs where they don't have to change water frequently. If the Hot Tub has a Bromide base chemical in it, they can activate the Bromide to Make Bromine with a Chlorine addition each day. That will use less Chlorine. But I would hope they do change the water often!

Bromine can be used in Fresh Water Hot Tubs also! That is what I use at home in mine! To me its easier to use Chlorine based Chemicals for Hot tubs with lots of people using them. But for a home Hot Tubs, Bromine is the way to go and easier to maintain!

  3. That happened to me last cruise! Just go to cashier cage with coupon! Also if you often book casino rate, but did not on a cruise, go to cashier cage and have them look at the lists for comps. I had booked two cruises one after the other diff ships. conquest/elation and only one was a casino rate and the other was not. And got comps on both!:D

  4. For those who get Casino offers! Last time we did 2 different ships in a row - booked one with casino rate and other with early saver. Well I went to the cashier cage on both and they had me down for Casino Cash!! So always check!!!:D

  5. If I am in a Special Cabin and someone asks to see it, I may let them in for a quick look! It does depend on the person and how busy I am!

Now a Cabin Crawl is well worth the walk if your on a roll call or a group with several different cabins!:D Warning for those who book only inside cabins - you may not want to know what your missing!!:D

  6. DH is diabetic! He has no problem in the dining room or buffet - Just has to be careful to not be tempted by things he should not eat!:D

I have even had table mates in dining room who had no problem!

Just remember - You don't have to eat everything on the plate and if what you want is in 2 different entrees order both, eat what you want!:D

  7. I agree! We are in our early 50,s and have no children but kids on a cruise have never bothered us? Its their vacation too:) we stay away from the main pool and other areas they seem to congregate at and if they look like they are riding the elevators up and down I start pressing all the buttons when I get in:

Cranky rude "The World Owes Me Something" Old people are much more of a pain on a cruise than kids:)

You sound like me!! Same age!! I love to mess with the misbehaving kids!

Last cruise I was getting in the elevator and a couple of 12/13yr old boys were sticking sheets of paper between the doors! My husband and I got in and I gave the kids "the grandma" look and then said "I know who their parents are, just wait till I tell them what their son has been doing in the elevator!"

I could smell the fear in them!! When ever they seen me the rest of the cruise they would go the other way!:D

  8. All of the above are really good! But my new favorite is the Banana Cream Cake! And it is on the diet list - you would never know though!!! The one night I think I ate 4 pieces!! And on the night it is served in the dining room it is also on the Buffet!! :DThat is how I managed to eat 4 of them. We were headed to Movie under the Stars and went through the Buffet for snacks!!
