Thank you both for the good suggestions.

A hotel night prior to departure would be fine, if Accent Inns could accommodate our RV for a reasonable cost while we're away. When I look at the parking lot on Google Maps, it looks like it wouldn't be a problem to fit since we have a pretty big overhang behind the back wheels and we could back in near the grassy area. I'll give them a call.

The Burnaby Caraboo RV park also looks like a good option with some options listed for 10+ nights (so we could stay a few nights in Vancouver before and after the cruise).

I'll look at the Skytrain option to get to the terminal as well - thank you! And thank you for the storage option and phone number, if we really get in a pinch.

Hi, what did you end up doing re: parking rv during cruise.  We are considering an Alaska cruise but unsure where to park our motorhome.

  2. Does anyone else raise their eyebrows at tour guides charging more than the quoted $40 per hour for up to 4 people and $55 an hour for up to 6 people? Lewis Foggo is quoting me $50 per hour for 4 people...hmmmmm.. How about charge me the going rate and I will tip generously if and when you do a great job! If the government sets the cost, why do they think they can charge more? Sounds like ego and a bit of dishonesty to me...maybe I am wrong...Your thoughts?

If you do a search with his name you will see that this has already been discussed. I seem to recall that those who toured with him felt the tour was worth the extra.

  3. We just got home from Bermuda. We booked Timmie Mello recommended

by Mr. Fox. We had a wonderful day. We were able to see everything we

wanted plus more. Timmie even brought bread to feed the fish at the smallest drawbridge in Bermuda. He arranged for us to be on time to see

the dunking in St. Geroge, not to be missed. Our day was perfect. Our

tour was for six hours and the time flew by. Timmie also got us some

pink sand in a plastic bag which I now have in a vase in my home a lovely

reminder of Bermuda. He charged $40 per hour. His email is soniamello@logic.bm. If you contact him he will arrange to see everything that you desire. He is a lovely person and if you book with him I am sure

you will enjoy as we did.

Thanks for the review. Still doing my research and hoping to book someone for our September cruise. Was it just the two of you? Where did you stop for lunch?
