If you don’t mind sharing, would you tell us the cost of your treatment and the process involved with your quarantine.
WE called the medical clinic number and were called back within a few minutes. We were given a time later that day to go to the clinic. My husband's charges were about $1900.00. HIs included eval by doctor, chest x-ray, tests for flu, strep, meds for cough and sore throat plus the Paxzen (this was 800.00 of the total bill.) My charges were about $1300.00, I did not need any x-rays. I would like to say the medical care was very good.
He was quarantined for 5 days in our cabin. I was moved to another cabin but on day 3, I too developed a fever and sore throat and cough.....went to clinic and tested positive. Then my 5 days of quarantine began. After the five days we could leave our room but were advised to wear our masks (KN95) for 5 more days when around the ship......we did.
The small table placed outside our cabin doors served to place meals on, fresh water, fresh towels. No steward came in our rooms. When my husbands Q was completed they totally sanitized the room!

WE were on the Trans Atlantic and caught Covid. Quarantined for 5 days. We appreciated the quality of the medical staff and the Paxlovid....well really Paxzen ( brand) given to us. The staff was wonderful in caring for us.
We were on a couple of bus tours early on, and yes coughing and sneezing heard. Husband also took some crowded elevators with coughers. Sorry to say I do believe folks walked around with symptoms but did not get checked. They only thought of themselves not about the spread of the virus.
Good to hear the crew is masking........wish more was done by Oceania (not just a mention in the currents.
Beautiful cruise despite Covid and Hurricane Lee.

Sorry you have Covid. 🤮
Does Oceania have hand sanitizing stations available? Do they post prevention information such as cover your cough, wear a mask if you are feeling ill, wash your hands?
Hope your case is mild....

Thank you both! We are sailing on August 30th hence only 1 log in at a time😖
Someone said there is a possibility of using the IPhone messenger from IPhone to Iphone any thoughts on that ?

Will the ships wifi allow us to text another passenger while onboard? Example my phone is connected to the wifi, will my husband be able to receive a text from me?
I also read something about the I Phone message app possibly working onboard. Does anyone understand this.......not sure I do.
Thanks in advance.

Oh no for the Covid.....hope you find relief with Dr prescribed meds.
The virus is around this summer as more cases are reported in the states. Folks who are flying may well want to wear a KN95 mask. We are! Don't want our beautiful trip hampered by a virus🤮

Appreciate your review of Vista. You did not comment on the elevators, are they crowded, are they smooth? Also I have read another comment a few weeks ago about the touchless bathroom doors not always working. Was this your experience?
Looking forward to boarding for our transatlantic cruise in a few weeks. You have been most helpful.
Thank You.

My husband and I left the ship on the 11th. My husband tested positive on the 11th and I tested positive today. Mild symptoms, but be aware that it's still out there folks! Many of our excursion buses sounded like kennels with all the coughing.
Thanks for the reminder. Hopefully your case is mild. We will be wearing masks at airports and on plane for sure. Now I will think about any bus tour too.

We are flying from CLT to LHR day before our August departure from Southampton port. Have hotel reservation in Southampton. We get into Heathrow around 9 a.m.. Windsor Castle is other option, or just go to Southampton?

My concern is that even though I wash my hands I have to touch the serving tools to get my food. Others have touched the same tools with perhaps dirty hands. My solution is to find a napkin (hard to find) and wrap that around the tongs etc so you have a barrier from others germs.
I would like Celebrity to address the other restaurants aboard with some hand sanitizer option. I do wash my hands prior to dinner but there are plenty of places to pick up germs on the way to the dining areas.

Yes, the chairs on the balcony should be for relaxing with your feet up possibly reading a good book or just enjoying the ocean and a nap. The Edge chairs look stylish but not meant for relaxing.
Also, I have not read any "elevator" thoughts. We loved the iconic glass elevators on the S class ships. They were a plus too for claustrophobic folks who like to see out! The Edge has less elevators with more passengers.

To our neighbor in Ohio......it just so happens that we are traveling from NC to Ohio next week. My husband hails from Cincinnati :)
Thanks for the good advise....I will again work on the Aussie trip when we return.

Appreciate all the information you have provided. Very helpful as we plan this trip. I have read part of your blog and intend to read more. You all are great planners!

Thank you so much for the information.....helps me plan better.

When we have traveled in Europe very often there are cab drivers available right at port side. Many offer private tours, 3-4 hours etc. I am wondering if any of the CC readers know of this first hand regarding Dunedin, Wellington, or Akaroa, NZ. We are traveling this January on the Solstice.
Many Thanks for any input. :):):)

You cannot get Paxlovid without a prescription. Do you mean you would bring the written script on the ship? If so where would you get it filled? If you have it filled in the states prior to sailing that is very expensive too.....
Hope you stay healthy!
