We had Jammin' James on a cruise. He was a fill-in and was WONDERFUL!! He should be a full time CD!

Glad to hear you had a great time!
Another poster here was on Vista in August and felt the ship looked run-down (which is odd for a two-year-old ship). Did you notice lots of rust, worn out carpet, trashed/torn mini-golf greens? Maybe they fixed all that in-between.
Also, was the Lido full of rowdy foul-mouthed drunks? Or did they get all that out of their systems on Grand Turk?
Just curious, the two reviews are almost polar opposites at first glance...
I'm not sure what ship they were on but what we saw was gorgeous and spotless. They were always cleaning! I was extremely impressed. We've been on NCLs Getaway and the Vista had much more "elbow room" for a similar sized ship. It never seemed crowded.
Unfortunately Grand Turk was our last stop so yes, there were plenty of foul mouthed people on the Lido deck. But it wasn't that bad. We kept to the small pool on the back of the ship.

It was a great cruise! Weather was great. Ship and staff were great! We couldn't have asked for a better cruise.
St. Kitts and Grand Turk were new to us. We had a wonderful 7 hour tour of St. Kitts with Thenford Gray tours. He was excellent and covered the entire island. Grand Turk, unless you have an excursion planned, there is nothing there except the overcrowded beach and drunks at Margaritaville. We are divers so we dove the wall and avoided the mess at the port.
We've been to San Juan and St. Maarten many times so we just did our own thing.
Chris the flying Scottsman was very good when we saw him. He pretty much came out for the shows. Jammin' James was hilarious and was all over the ship and at all the events/parties. I don't know how he ever slept. This guy needs to be cruise director of his own ship!!! He is awesome!
Food/Drink - The buffet was what you would expect. It was not the best food but it was warm and there was plenty of it. My time dining was very good. We loved the Red Frog Pub but bar service was very, very slow. One waiter from Indonesia was very good.
I would be happy to answer any questions.

I love my Invictas! I just buy them on ship and they are always remind me of my cruise. Need had any problems and get lots of nice comments.

When do you travel? We replanting on Lyft or Uber to get airport from our house when we cruise in January, but no prior experience.
We leave this Sunday...

We're a party of 4 adults who will need transportation from airport to Holiday Inn historic district.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience or recommendation.

We're going to do this excursion in December. We've been to Chachoben but not yet Chichen Itza and we're looking forward to the cenote swim.
My wife and I are avid snorkelers and SCUBA divers. Here's my question for anyone experienced with Ikkil, do they allow masks and fins in the cenote? Would love to make the most of he experience.
Thanks

We arrive at 9:00. Thanks for the suggestions! I may just go to Chankanab and do the shallow dive. The caves are fun...

This is for any SCUBA divers out there....
I'm looking for non-ship based dive excursion. Really want to dive the wall at Palancar reef. I've been to Cozumel many times diving but not from a cruise before. Any personal recommendations?

Great, thanks!

We'll be sailing the Fantasy in December and want to stay in downtown Mobile the night before and night after our cruise.
Does anyone have suggestions of nice downtown hotels that have port shuttles?
Also, any ideas on getting a party of 4 from the airport to the hotel?
Thanks!

Thank you!

We're flying into mobile December 10th for our cruise on the 11th.
Does anyone have suggestions for a place to stay pre-cruise?
Do any hotels have airport/hotel/port shuttles?
Thanks!

We will be sailing the Fantasy on December 11th. We are flying in on Sunday December 10th.
Does anyone know a good hotel perhaps with an airport/port shuttle?
Or does anyone have experience getting from airport/hotel/port?
The port of Mobile seems to be more industrial and nothing like Tampa, Miami, etc. It was hard enough finding a reasonable flight into Mobile.
Thanks!

If you don't want to go back into Waikiki after Pearl Harbor you can actually check bags at PH. I would contact the park service if there is any charge for larger bags. Our bags were sent directly to the ship but we noticed others at PH checking lots of suitcases.

Sorry, I made the assumption you were sailing Pride of America. My mistake.

If you need ideas when you board the ship, ask James with the cruise director's staff. He's a diver and should be able answer question.

We used Uber and it was great.

We took advantage of land, sea, and air deal last April. We had two nights in Waikiki. It was great! The airfare was half what we would have had to pay on our own. We flew from Charlotte to Dallas and then to Honolulu. NCL provided transportation to the hotel (although Uber was great during our stay.) We had the lowest class hotel room but it was beautiful and from the balcony we could see the ocean just fine.
I tried pricing out the options myself but it was much more expensive. We stayed at the Marriott and NCL actually has a desk and representative there who handled everything for our stay. It could not have been better.

We used Gypsy for road to Hana on Maui in April. It worked flawlessly.

Here is my review from April. It was different, but our best cruise ever!
-
We've done both - land vacation visiting Oahu and Maul and the 7 day Norwegian cruise. They are each unique in their own way. Having done the land trip before, we really enjoyed the cruise this time (April 16). We arrived two days early just to acclimate to the time change.
The cruise was wonderful! Ship, entertainment, cruise staff, and ports were all wonderful. You spend so much time in port that we were able to do and see everything we wanted - and we only unpacked once.
Honestly I think people need to do both and land vacation and a cruise vacation. Each are the best at what they do but if I could do only one then I would opt for the cruise - 4 wonderful islands.

You won't miss anything. We are usually balcony people but booked an inside on deck 11 for POA two months ago. We went with the inside because you are in port everyday. It worked great for us!

We did Molokini back wall last month which is the "can't miss" of hard core divers. It's a wall so not a lot of color. Honestly, we dove it the first time 25 years ago and I remember that dive being much better. For color and a leisurely dive then do the crater.
