    I see on their site, the inaugural is on Oct 4

    Yes, we were already booked when they announced it. I wasn't sure how to feel about it, but people on here told me that it won't be as big of a deal as I was afraid it would be. I do know that our price went down before the announcement (glad I caught it when I did) and then went back up and even higher after.

    I'm on the Enchanted on Aug 31 and neither schedules show Enchanted. Brooklyn shows Emerald on Aug 30 & 31st. I am guessing the 31st is for Enchanted and not Emerald. But also based on Princess' website, Emerald isn't in NYC on either dates. 

  4. I'm on a sailing for Enchanted on 8-31 and a few weeks ago I checked the terminal schedules. The Brooklyn schedule shows Emerald for 8-31 and Manhattan does not have any Princess sailings that day. I called in and was advised we are sailing out of Manhattan, but now it sounds like what I was told might not be correct. 

     

  5. I just happened to be booked for this sailing. I noticed most of the above post are people saying they enjoyed the Oct sailing, but I am curious if you found any negatives with that sailing? I cruise only about once a year and my husband hasn't cruised in 11 years. I finally convinced him to go with me and now after seeing this thread, I am concerned and am wondering if I should look for a new sailing date. Seeing the cast sounds fun, but I guess I am wondering how different the menus could be and will all the shows be "Love Boat Themed"? TIA

  6. My last Princess cruise was on Regal and we were in a full suite, I have a cruise booked on Enchanted in a Reserve mini suite. I am sure I already know the answer, but for Reserve is breakfast only available for the Reserve section of the MDR and not in the speciality dining restaurant ( I can't remember which one on Regal. And if only the MDR, is there a difference in the menu?

    I was on this same sailing and when they put my plate down, I wasn't sure what to think. But that shrimp salad was HORRIBLE. I couldn't get it out of my mouth fast enough. We really enjoyed the pizza though.

    But why should I have to spend time on my vacation dealing with someone on board? And why should I let them keep MY MONEY until my cruise. They just need to get their S**T together!

  9. If I am understanding the OP's issue, I also had an issue about a month or so ago regarding being charged for speciality dining. We are booked in a suite and the 1st night we are supposed to get a free speciality dining credit. When I went to book through the app, it showed the credit, but once I reserved the time we wanted, the credit was gone and charged my credit card. 

     

    I called and put the option for dining problems. The person I talked to was definitely not in the states and claimed to have no knowledge that suite guests get a comp speciality dining credit on the first night. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the the supervisor told me that the department I need to talk to was closed and that I needed to call back. All this happened on Friday and by Monday my credit card was credited the money, but my reservation was also canceled.

  10. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this is not it. There is no way I can eat 2 of those a day for 8 days. I am hoping by the time I cruise at the end of April, they will have something else. I had a dessert like this in NYC and my mom, daughter and I ate one and still couldn't eat it all. It's just one big sticky mess.

    It could depend on where you are looking.  If you are looking on your online booking documents where it has a place for spa and other reservations that have been made - our specialty dining never did show there - regardless of how it was paid for.  But it has always shown up on the App when I check reservations for those days.

    I am looking on the app and it doesn't show any reservations. I guess I will try calling tomorrow and hopefully I won't be on hold forever. Thank you. 

  12. Once you make a speciality dining reservation in the stupid app, should it show that you have a reservation?

     

    We are staying in a suite and last week tried making the reservation for the first night, when I went to book it showed we had a credit. I booked the time we wanted and when I went back into check if it was there, and it wasn't. So I tried again and then noticed the credit was not there and that my credit card was charged. I called in and was told that I had to wait until I got on the ship to get the refund. Well yesterday I saw the charge was refunded. So I went in and booked a reservation again, it showed the credit, but does not show up in the app as we have a reservation. Is this normal?

    The club class menu is the same as in the MDR, though usually will have 1 extra dish available. The suite breakfast menu in Sabatini’s is completely different. That said, the suite menu can be treated as a suggestion. There is no problem with ordering off menu. If they have it available, they will cook it for you, which is another plus as it’s usually fresh made upon ordering.
