  1. We got an email from the new owner that they are open but the old owner has taken all the money from old bookings. She told me to go ahead and dispute the charges with our cc company and rebook if we wanted to.
we don’t want any stress or drama on our vacay so we will not be re booking.

It may be hit or miss, but they took mine by e-mail two weeks ago

I just spoke with Carnival and they do not accept by email. So, did the email work? Or should I just fax in. I cant figure out how to print a stock holders certificate... Does the account statement work?

  3. It’s been a while since I’ve cruised on RCL too, but I thought the pizza was good before. I hope it’s not as bad as people are saying. It’s my fav late night snack.

I bring my own shampoo conditioner and body wash as the smell is not to my liking. The hairdryers are ok.

For pictures and internet RCL has discounts online in your cruise planner. Just keep, looking for the internet and photo packages. They can be a really good deal especially if you buy a lot then get the package that includes all photos on a flash drive and you get copywriter to print them as you like.

  4. After dinner we went to the Amber Palace for the evening show. It was a 50's 60's kind of music show. It was very good!!! I had seen the same show a few years ago but I think the whole show was improved from the last time I saw it.

The next place we went was the comedy show, adult theme!!! hahaha he was really funny!!! TIP!!! Bring your own drink in from another bar as service was crazy slow. ry%3D400

On our First Sea day we had breakfast at the Red Sail Buffet. It's all standard cruise breakfast items I have come to recognize very well.

I am not really a breakfast lover, but the DH is. He has the eggs over easy at the omelet station, some sausage and bacon and a yogurt. He seems to really like the ships yogurt!! He never eats it at home.

I has a bagel, cream cheese and some bacon and ham. On this ship they have the bacon and ham behind a bulletproof plated glass wall. YOu have to wait to be served it. Im sure because of all the waste and heaps of meat people put on their plate.

I was actually waiting there for someone to come along and serve me some meat when a pretty rude person tried to push by me saying..."excuse me other people want some food too!" Now, I would never do this to someone else!!! I politely said..." Sure you can have some after me as I am in line waiting for someone to give me some"

Some people should relax! A little politeness will will everyone's day better!!!

    OK....

So, the picture above is Cuba. You actually sail very close to Cuba when you go from MIami to the Western Caribbean. It looks very beautiful!!

I didnt eat much breakfast so an hour later I was hungry. I had one these babies from the blue iguana cantina!! Its a little tortilla with beans chicken cheese and eggs ( I had one without the egg) I added a squeeze of lime and some salsa varieties. It was yummy!!! If you like tex mex food you will love the Blue Iguana Cantina burritos for breakfast. I have had them before and they are huge!!! You can choose whatever ingredients you want!!

For most of the rest of the day we were sunning ourselves like fat lizards!!! We snagged ourselves 2 deck chairs that were open still and even ate our lunch there!! BY 3 we were done and we had to shower and get ready for dinner.

They did have a hairy chest contest today too...

Tonight is the first elegant night. We always dress up really nice so we can have portraits taken. NOw the prices are very good when you compare them to going to a studio. $21.99 for 8x10 and we bought 2 11x17 canvas for less than $100 and it came with the 8x10 and some wallets included. When our daughters sail with us we get our family picture taken which still adorns the wall above my fireplace.

Dinner..... sorry I half ate it before i remembered to take a picture. The lobster was perfectly cooked. It was sweet and tender.

For dessert Creme Brulee.. they used to put some fresh berries on top. They forgot to on mine or else they dont do it anymore.

  6. First day...embarkation day.

After we depart Miami, it's dinner time!!!

Our group is dining together at the early seating. I was able to request our group get the aft window tables for awesome sunset views while we have dinner.

This was my first experience with the American Table dining experience. I didn't find it bad but I do prefer table cloths and the old dessert menu I used to love. They never did offer bitter n bland the whole cruise and it was my favorite.

I started with a shrimp cocktail, and Cesar salad. The dressing was heavy on the anchovy flavor. My DH loves them and asked for extra anchovies on his!!!

We did skip the Welcome aboard show as we had seen it before on other ships and opted for a relaxing evening on the lido deck. We watched a few movies and the. Went to bed.

The hot tub was pretty warm and relaxing. There were a few kids on there and no parents or other adults in there with them so they were a bit out of hand. I did have to yell at them a few times. Finally I said ok boys that is enough knock it off!!!!

They were jumping around, hitting us and kicking us under water, splashing. I really don't mind kids in the hot tubs without parents if they are well behaved. When they ruin other people's relaxation time then I have an issue.

Back in our cabin we didn't get a towel animal!!!! What!!!!???? Now my picture I wanted to take is ruined!!! Lol!!! I guess I'm like a kid when it comes to the towel animals.. they're really fun and I look forward to seeing what I get every night.

No worries my cabin steward Ida will make it up to us later on!!!

Tomorrow is a sea day and the weather is supposed to be perfect!!!!

I wanted a nice Group picture before we had our Muster drill. we met this nice couple form Switzerland!! They did not speak English very well but we adopted them and they were following us for a group picture. We lost them on the way!!! We did see them a few times around the ship later on and always said HI!! I think they were very shy!!! Great people though!!

MY husband (Mike) is the friend maker. If you have ever cruised with a crazy guy that goes out of their way to say hi..that's My Husband!!! I am a Military veteran and every time Mike met a Vet he bought them a drink!!

Here I am trying to get the group to get together for a pic!!!

    ry%3D400

Here is our group finally all together...no actually not. Im missing a few people!!! Cruising with a group is awesome. Everyone does their own thing and every night we have dinner together and then off to do our own thing again!!! We did have a lot of smaller groups that hung out together, do excursions too!

Muster drill was about 5pm and we did sail away late...but I am not one to care about that. I do like to get sail away pics at sunset and I got my wish!!!

There goes Celebrity Reflection off first.

We left before the Vista!!! I want to sail on this ship but the HOrizon is coming out soon and I have that booked for 2019!!! so no Vista in the plans as of yet!!

Here I am with my Mom. I am teaching her the first thing you do when you get on the ship is get a drink!!! LOL

Next stop Guys Burgers! I only ate 2 the whole cruise!!!

    ry%3D400

I always get the ringer!!! I love the sauce that comes with it. And the Fries!!! They are awesome!! The sauce to dunk em in is the Chipotle Mayo!!!! You get that at the little island of burger toppings. My mouth is seriously watering right now just remembering it all. PLus I"m hungry not having eaten yet today.

  9. can everyone see them?

This is the sign you first see when you are ready to check in. At 9 am there were 5-6 people in line already at the CUrrent check in line. The Cruise Director was outside and told me you dont have to wait here you can go have a seat at some table over there and youll be fine until 10. Good thing we didnt!! We stayed in line and at 10 the line to get into the line was very long!

They did have a group start checking in before us. The special needs area and Faster to the fun and such group.

We decided not to get FTTF. the cost is like now close to $60 and its just not that worth it to us. Inretrospect its still not worth it on this cruise.

    ry%3D400

This is the Glory!! This is the most exciting part of check in!! They Used to play music and have crew running around getting everyone excited. This was quiet at least music wise it was playing but couldn't hear it.

We met our group. I was so excited to meet everyone and see some of my friends!! We see each other maybe once a year.

    ry%3D400

Here is some of our group!.

  10. I have not forgotten!! I have had a very bad week with our Rental Property We are kicking our tenants out because of serious violations and I am so done with that I decided to sell it!!! So i am dealing with cleaning the units and repairs.

I have half my photos downloaded and wouldn't you know its the last part of the cruise. Hang in there and I promise I wont leave you hanging!!!.

  11. I'm Back!!!

What a trip it was!!!! We all had such a good time and the cruiser was amazing but there were a few snags. One mix-up in an excursion and a few kind of scary events!!! Stay tuned for those...

I am not sure why the night before we travel I cant sleep. It's like a kid at Christmas. Instead of waiting for Santa, I lay awake anticipating the alarm clock!! Our flights were at 5:40 AM so we were up at 3. My mom and cousin were up at the same time but in New York. I did make a mistake and chose a window seat on the west side..so no sunrise pics. :(

So fast forward to MIami. Flights were great and we met my Mom in baggage claim. I then called our shuttle and waited like 45 minutes for them to show up. Then it took nearly an hour to get through traffic to the Hotel in South Beach!!! Something was happening downtown and the police had a street shut down. Lucky our driver...or maybe not so lucky as I freak at crazy drivers....our driver turned left from the middle lane, cut people off. He was a mad man driver!!! I almost kissed the ground when I got out of the van.

One thing I need to follow up on is the shuttle gratuities were pre paid and the sign in the van said tips are not included. My mom insisted on tipping him more. Plus the van was not the same as our other shuttles we had through them to the ship and back to airport. This leaves a weird feeling that we might have been farmed out to another company???

We are staying at the South Beach Riu Hotel. This place was just O>K>

Would I stay here again.? No.

Our room was suppose to be ocean front and we had half oceanviews as we were set back from the beach. there are other rooms that were closer to the beach with full oceanviews. I feel like we had oceanview room and not the oceanfront room we paid for.

Our room also smelled like someone pee'd in it somewhere. I did ask them to take care of it first thing in the morning. They said it would be fixed i 15 minutes. 3 hours later nothing had happened. So, I complained again. then they must have come in and sprayed the curtains. The floor was covered in an oily slippery mess right by the curtains. Now the room smelled like awful room spray and pee. I complained again and I think they mopped the floor. The smell was reduced but not completely gone.

I'll try to get some pics uploaded.

  12. Subscribing. My first ever cruise will be on the glory in August and reading reviews is helping my impatience with how slowly the days are counting down (156 to go). I have a question about transport that I hope you can help with as you have stayed at the holiday inn that we are booked at... how easy is it to get a taxi/ shuttle from the hotel to the port? We dont have anything booked to get us there as our Ta said its quite close, but there are 6 of us with a lot of luggage (we are coming from the uk via New York for a wedding) and do you know roughly how much it would cost? Thanks and cant wait for the rest of your review as your sailing should be the first where everything is fully up and running after her drydock.

The port is literally a ten minute ride. I can't remember the cost. I think we gave the driver a $20 bill to include a nice tip. The hotel got us a taxi, so we could leave when we wanted an didn't have to wait for shuttles.

  13. Ship.............

The ship just got out of dry dock and I'm chomping at the bit, dying to see pictures!!!!

So the ship is doing away with the free fish n chips!!! In place is the seafood shack and located in the aft pool area. It's all for an added fee and el cheapo says no to added cost things. Well I have $175 onboard credit so I'm buying a lobster roll!!!! If he says anything I won't share with him!! Lol ( we've been married 21 years..we have an amazing marriage.)

They're also adding a waterworks which has been a controversial issue lately as they started construction early and caused issues with passengers currently sailing and it's not yet finished, so the two cruises right after dry dock can't use it. It will be operational and ready for our cruise so we'll see. I probably won't use it anyway.

They also will be freshening up common areas with new paint and carpets, etc.

the ship will be amazing I'm sure. I can't wait to see it!!!!

I'm halfway packed and we leave in 6 days!!!!!!

  14. Shore excursions............

I wanted to have at least 1 group shore excursion that would be really fun. Then the rest book what I wanted to do and if people wanted to join great, if not that's cool.

I should start with our Itinerary

    3-25 Miami

    3-26 at Sea

    3-27 Grand Cayman

    3-28 Roatan

    3-29 Belize

    3-30 Cozumel

    3-31 Sea day

    4-1 Miami

In Grand Cayman we have done the Sting Ray City, Hell, And Turtle farm. We've been to seven mile beach. We wanted to, this time, go back to sting ray city and we chose the Rum Point beach combo tour through Carnival.

This tour a few of my group is joining me. I'm looking forward to snorkeling at both places!!

In Roatan, most of my group wanted to just stay at the free beach in port. I really wanted to go to Little French Key. I have read so many reviews that it's now on my bucket list!!! But, again the husband really wanted to do FREE and we are staying with the group in port at the free😊 Beach.

Next time we go we will go to LFK!!!!!

In Belize we love Mayan Ruins and have been to all of the. Except Lamanai. As far as offered excursions anyway. I'm sure there are more Ruins sites but not offered through Carnival.

I don't have an issue with private tours but in Belize, you need a ship sponsored tour to see Ruins. The length of the tour is the issue. We had a tour once where the bus broke down and they had to walk to the nearest town for a part!!!! Yup!!! Instead of sending a new bus!!! Well we got back a bit late but they waited for us!! This was in Barabados.

In Cozumel we had been there so many times this is where we wanted to do the group excursion. We all chose the cozumel bar hop private tour. You get an island tour as well and it takes you to the east side of the island. You go to 4 bars and get a free shot at each place, plus you get a free t shirt from the tour company. The bus is party bus so it'll be, I'm sure, totally fun!!! They play great music to get you in the party mood!!!

So there it is all of our plans!!!!
