We were on the same cruise. We did the same as you did regarding Covid precautions but I came down with Covid the day we left the ship. When I hot home lots of people at home have Covid.  It's on the rise again in PA /NJ. Luckily not too sick. We've had all the shots and boosters and will get the new one. All you can go is wash hands, wear mask in crowds and hope for the best.

I apologize, I did come off as snarky.  I guess I was just luckier than you.  I've also been vaccinated and still had Covid twice (thank you grandchildren).  The first time was awful and i have no desire to repeat it. My husband who is much less careful than me has not had covid as far as we know, unless he had it with no symptoms.

It is bad in NJ.  Right now I know 5 people who are currently sick and some others who were sick earlier this month, including my son and dil.

Now if only they can get rid of the large amount of Covid cases especially the Bermuda and Greenland/Iceland cruises, People are posting on Facebook and Celebrity roll call everyday. We were on the 7/28 Bermuda cruise and everything about it was great. We did test positive when we arrived home which means we were exposed on the ship. Others we met on the cruise got it too. A friend of ours was on Equinox in Barcelona 2 weeks ago said there were many cases. I think we better stop totally blaming passengers coming on board with it ! Time to start testing ship and crew more see if its circuiting around the ship. The hand washing/hand sanitizer situation needs improvement/enforcement and possibly the air/filtration system needs to be addressed. We did have a great cruise our 16th on Celebrity 28 times to Bermuda. We were going to book Silhouette for July 2025 not offering cruises to Bermuda last 1 is 6/29. The prices for Suites are ridiculous. We love Celebrity and hope they return to Cape Liberty, NJ in 2026

I just off the Greenland/Iceland cruise and by the end of the cruise there were many people coughing and sniffling.  I had heard of many people getting off cruises (not only Celebrity) with Covid, so I decided to be proactive.  If you don't want to get sick, then you need to do whatever you can to prevent it, because the only person you can trust is yourself. I saw people walking right by the Purell station at the OVC, and other people picking food out of their teeth and then going back to the buffet. I wore a mask whenever I was around large groups of people and also on bus tours.  I was continually using hand sanitizer.  I didn't get Covid.

Re the condition of the ship - it definitely needs an overhaul.  The chairs in the dining room were ripping, some of the carpet in the OVC was torn, my shower door was broken. But nothing that took away my enjoying the cruise.  The crew was great, Captain Nicolas was terrific, and the cruise director Manuel was also great

  3. I've been to Cartegena twice.  There were plenty of cabs at the port.  The first time, the cab driver stayed with us all day, took us to the fort, and the walled city, and back to the port.  The second time, we just went to the walled city and walked around on our own. I never felt that it was unsafe.

  4. I just got off the Westerdam yesterday. Thankfully, my companions and I were not among those who were sick. I've cruised quite a lot and never been on a ship with a major norovirus outbreak before,so I have nothing to compare the Westerdam's response to. All I can say is that they took it very seriously, The captain made several announcements about it, and asked that everyone wash their hands after going to the bathroom and before eating while singing Happy Birthday twice to ensure clean hands. He also asked that you use your own bathroom, instead of the public bathrooms. The captain said that Purell is not really that effective against norovirus. In the buffet, no one was allowed to get any food on their own. Everything was handed out by a crew member. We noticed that the entertainment staff and Park West staff were brought in to help distribute food. The only place this was a problem was in the drinks station where it caused long lines. The tables in the dining room were cleaned after being used, and bread and butter were handed out by the waiter instead of being put on the table. At night, I noticed the buffet tables being thoroughly cleaned. However, during the day, they were just being wiped down.

I was careful not to touch the banisters when going up and down stairs. I also pushed the elevator buttons with my elbow instead of my fingers.

We were wondering if a thorough cleaning of the ship was being planned before the next segment started, so it's good to hear that it was done.

  5. Have tried 15 times to put credit card info in. It keeps stating to check credit card info. We called credit card company and they don't see anything was trying to be charged. Any ideas?

I found that using credit cards issued by banks gave me the same problem. When my husband called they also didn't see a charge going through. What worked was using a Mastercard or Visa that was issued by a store. I never received an email with the tickets, but after the card went through there was a pop up box with an option to download or print the tickets. It was on the bottom left of the pop up box. I didn't see it the first time I ordered tickets, and had to get the charge reversed. Then, I read somewhere that there will be an option to download the tickets, so I tried again and saw it.

    Good luck!

  6. I had the same thing happen..never got an email, etc, had to file a dispute with my credit card co. and they issued me a refund on my next statement.

I think I am going to have the same problem. I still never got an email, but the charge on my card is still "pending". According to MasterCard, the charge can take up to 48 hours to either go through or get dropped. I'll wait until the charge goes through and if I still haven't received an email, then I'll take it up with the credit card company. I've also sent an email to the contact address on the Muze site, but I don't really think I'll hear back from them.

  7. We had no problems using our MasterCard, went through straight away. We are from the UK, don't know if you're from the USA, as I've heard you guys can have problems using your cards abroad and on foreign websites. Have you spoken to your CC provider to see if they're blocking the transaction.

We found one last MasterCard that we hadn't tried yet - and it went through. We called the credit card company and the charge is pending. However, no email has come with the tickets...(also checked spam folder) and I mistakenly closed the window that popped up after the cc went through. So right now, I'm just hoping that we get an email soon.

We are from the USA. The error message looks more like it is coming from the Muze site and not the cc. We called one of the cc companies and they couldn't even see that a transaction was going through. We'll try to call again, the customer service person that my husband spoke to the other day did not seem very bright.

    Thanks for your quick response.

  9. I have also been trying to buy tickets on the Muze Site for the past several days. My husband and I have tried every Mastercard and Visa we have. We are also getting the error about checking the credit card information. We've been putting in an address of a hotel in Istanbul even though we will not be staying there. Does anybody who has bought tickets recently have any advice as to what we should do? We're getting really frustrated at this point.
