Fingers crossed Celebrity already has the procedure in place for custom packages and it's a matter of data entry, no need to involve the IT department :).

Thanks for clarifying about sparkling water and juice!

Back in January I asked the phone rep about San Pellegrino, Perrier, or similar, as well as bottled still water. The answer was "yes, everything non-alcoholic is now included in the Classic package". She wasn't sure about smoothies and went to ask somebody, then a few moments later said yes to that too. That was a little sus as people here were saying the opposite, but figured it would be a nice bonus if the rep was right and smoothies were also included. I heard that smoothies weren't that great, but DH is a vegan and he may go for those.

Later I mentioned to her how it was a little hard to figure out what the new info was vs what was left over from 2022. She said they had just made changes to the packages beginning of 2023, like the price of the Classic package went up but it now included "everything non-alcoholic". That made sense.

I thought the smoothies included greek yogurt so that would not be vegan.

Would complaining about X failing to deliver what they're advertising fall into the 'favourite alcohol' complaint?  🙂

It’s no different than going to a restaurant and finding they are out of something. Stuff happens and people get so bent out of shape over little things. I love gentleman Jack. Last cruise they ran out so I tried different options. Didn’t detract from my vacation at all.

  3. These are probably the same people complaining about their favorite alcohol not being available.  on Embarkation day, they get new stock, it's also the bartenders trying to move that product up to each bar, unpacking and restock on embarkation day as well as sometimes even having to help with luggage or as back up in the Ocean View Cafe. Embarkation day is crazy crazy busy for all the shipboard employees much less elites whining they want more free drinks.  And this is all on top of meeting any Customs requirements where crew must present their passports and get checked.

  4. So you can calculate if the drink package would have saved you money - but......... I found that when I have the drink package, it influences my behavior.  I had the premium package last time and it was wonderful.  Yes I drank more than I usually do but it was so worth it to not worry about what price a drink was and signing those damn receipts.  The sunset bar had us as number 7 on "speed dial" they called it.  I do have a spreadsheet that I created from my last cruise.  I guessed at some of the prices because I didn't really pay attention with the premium package.  (FYI the sunset bar was for malibu rum and pineapple juice which I can drink all day without getting intoxicated).  Without the premium package I probably would have drank less becuase I'm not thrilled with the brands on the classic plan.

Lol, well, all I can say is if that is true then it's a pretty stupid move on celebrity's part.

And also stupid on the bartenders' part because I've never seen them rushing to fill drink orders 😀

Many of those bartenders are also looking for extra cash tips so keeping us happy works for them.  On the Solstice, the bartender at the World Class bar was so amazing, we did give him an envelope with an extra cash tip along with the bartender at the Encore Lounge and the waiter in Murano.

Uncertain if you were searching on the Broken Celebrity Site - really been flaky this week but when I searched on another site  It is showing Solstice is beginning  the Alaska Season beginning June 2 -and has weekly sailing scheduled after that through the full summer season.

Yeah, I was searching on the Celebrity site.  I was thinking 4 months was a really long ti e

  8. There is a huge gap in the schedule for the Solstice.  It looks like May 26th is the last cruise, then nothing scheduled until Sept 15 so it looks like maybe it's finally going in for refurbishment and your cruise might be the last if not close the last before that.

My wife and I both have the classic drink package. Can I order two drinks with just my card and or our room number or do I need her card also when ordering.?

On our last cruise, we had to have both cards to order two drinks.  The only exception was if I tried to order one alcoholic drink and one bottle of water, then they would give me both.

Not true, you can bring water on board Carnival as of a few years ago, unless that has change. When I found we could order before we board, then why lug on the water and take up space. Just easier that way.

It's just not water you can order ahead of time, decorations, dessert, wine, beer, gifts for people. They have a whole list of things you can arrange to have in the room. Although it's been since Jan 2020 since we have been on them. This is a family cruise and Celebrity is what people voted to go on. So trying Celebrity again.

Carnival only lets you bring non alcoholic beverages in cans or carton, not plastic water bottles. I guess you might be able to find canned water.

  11. OP said they had cruised other cruise lines that let you order a case of water delivered to their room.  THat is becuase those other cruise lines don't allow you to bring on a case of water, Celebrity does allow you which is why they don't have the option of delivery.  Just buy a case of water and bring it on with you.

So now we're equating guidelines for the MDR on Celebrity with the dress code at the Vatican?

It was just an example - many places have dress codes from the Vatican to the main dining room.

  13. So I finally found it on the website page that lists the changes but it was not on the flyer.

All onboard perks/benefits will be spelled out in your CC welcome onboard letter for your specific CC tier level. More detail then the website.

But that doesn't answer the question - can anyone find the 90 free minutes or are we just assuming it wasn't taken away.
