  1. I know about the incident in Cozumel. Somehow, a lady got a piece of meat lodged in her throat. I don't know all the details as communication has been via text but the ship doctor could not remove it. They took her to the hospital and she underwent surgery to have the meat removed. She is being released from the hospital in Cozumel today and flown back to Atlanta. She is fine. Carnival, the hospital, the port authority, and Allianz insurance company were all awesome in assisting this lady. We are all grateful she is fine and will be boarding the plane in about a hour to return home.

  2. Well Hot Damn, you're right Pamwinn~~!! I found them too. Ironic thing is that the only sailing NOT pricing with the 'interline' rate is the June 18th sailing. I certainly hope no one who reads Cruise Critic contacted MSC due to my thread (so they only fixed the June 18th sailing). If so, shame on you! I thought this is a forum where consumers are supposed to help other consumers. My heart was in the right place. I can sleep with my karma.

I have tons of screen shots from both yesterday and today with multiple agents actually quoting the same rates. I also have a booking confirmation. I'm still betting MSC does the right thing and honors the published price, especially since they are still offering it.

LOL...If I wasn't going again next week, I would book one of those...haha. I hope no one reported it as well. MSC is populating those prices so none of the travel agencies are doing anything underhanded. I think you are fine. Those are interline rates so the few non-interline bookings they get before they pull it (if they are going to) don't effect their bottom dollar.

  3. vlf467,,,if you are purchasing the drink vouchers,,anyone can use them and not everyone in the stateroom needs to purchase them. If you purchase the Social package,,only one user can be signed in at one time,,,the surfer package allows up to 2 devices to be on-line simultaneously and the Streamer package allows up to 4 devices to be on-line at one time. You can use as many different devices as you would like,,but only the max numbers of devices specified by your internet package can be used simultaneously.

Thanks for explaining that. For whatever reason, I thought the number of devices was limited and I have three myself...phone, iPad, and camera. I was going to get a package for myself and one for my husband. I didn't realize it meant simultaneous connections.

    :o

  4. I tested the process the last time I was on the ship (April 2016). I submitted the special needs form. I purposely did not say anything to Guiseppe just to see if he was aware of the issue. It was never mentioned and I didn't bother with it further. It's the first time I've ever filled out the form. I typically police myself on that because people simply don't understand my allergy. So be sure to talk with the Maitre 'd. We did request a special meal once and were accommodated so I am sure the Maitre 'd will try to do whatever you ask. I think Giuseppe may now be on vacation.

  5. It's actually Fantastica. I don't use any of the other benefits, since there really aren't many. I did order room service once in December and it was free, but, they brought the wrong item, might try that again.

Haha...room service is notorious for that. I ordered a pizza one time and received a cold (like fresh from the fridge cold) eggplant sandwich.:)

  6. Yacht Club Menus

Thank you for posting the YC menus. I believe they may be the menus from the European itineraries. While I recognize some of the menu items, those were not the menus on the 4/19 sailing of the Divina. They look good though. Dinner #1 and #2 look very much like I recall but I don't remember the others. Maybe I just ate so much I don't remember anything after the second day.

  7. We board the Divina next Saturday (can't wait!) would it be cheaper to book the laundry package before or can it be bought cheaper on board? Thank you.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

I pre-booked my laundry package. It was offered for the same price onboard. I am not sure if they would have charged a service charge on top of that had I waited.

  8. We just returned from the 4/9 Bermuda sailing and I didn't see anyone in shorts and t-shirts in Le Muse during dinner. I wore them to Le Muse for breakfast and lunch as did the people I traveled with. On non formal night dinners, I wore capris and a top with sandals and was not underdressed. I don't wear dresses either. On the gala evenings, I wore dress slacks and a pretty jacket over a lacy top. That also fit in fine. There were a few tuxedo's, more suits, and lots of sports coats and slacks on the men. It is not as casual as Carnival or Norwegian.

  9. Speaking of pasta dishes, one chef prepared a couple of pasta dishes at One Pool. One was a simple marina sauce. It was very good. I could have eaten big bowls of that and called it quits for the day. We all enjoyed that very much.
