Looks like Oasis of the Seas will begin her 63 day overhaul at the shipyard in Cadiz, Spain, towards the end of Sept. 2019."The planned 63-day overhaul will begin at Navantia Shipyard in Cadiz, Spain at the end of Oasis’ summer European sailing season in September. When it emerges, the ship will show off its new features sailing out of the Port of Miami for a winter season of seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean voyages beginning Nov. 24, 2019."Even though this article was published back on May 21, 2019, it's the first time I've read about the Oasis going back to Cadiz, although many of us suspected that's what would happen. Here's the link for the article where the above quote is in the 5th paragraph:Happy sailing,Suzy B

We are looking for an actual photo of a stateroom on the Oasis of the Seas. It's on deck 11 (port side), cabin #11264 (Ocean View Balcony), which is near the back elevators.Or, if you've stayed in stateroom #11264, (on any of the Oasis Class ships) when you enter the stateroom, is the bathroom & bed on the left side of the room?Thank you for you help.Suzy B

SteelCityCruiser10,
Excellent! Thank you so much for taking the time to post a photo of all the Powerade Zero flavors!
Are there 4 Freestyle machines in the Windjammer - 2 on each side, way in the back? When the Windjammer closes, are we SOL, or are there other machines on the ship that we can obtain the Powerade Zero?
Thanks much for all you help & hope you are enjoying your cruise.

Hi SamTimeDining,
Thank you so much for your quick reply & your great advice. Maybe I'll see you at the Freestyle machine next week! Wishing you a wonderful cruise.

We will be on the Jewel of the Seas this weekend to begin a 5 night cruise. Interested in knowing what is the least expensive specific drink package that includes "Powerade Zero".
I think it's the "Classic Soda Package".
Also, can anyone confirm that the 2019 price is $12.99 per night for one person. So that would be $64.95 for the 5 night cruise. Do I need to add on the 18% gratuity to that amount, making the actual total $76.64?
If I don't purchase this "Classic Soda Package" until day 2 of the cruise, is it prorated for the remainder of the cruise?

broadwaycam,
Thanks so much for the link to the Miami Dock Report
https://seaport2.miamidade.gov/dailydock/Default.aspx
Those us us who cruise out of Miami often, will find it most helpful.
MsYukon,
Yes, I believe you are correct. From the Dock Report, the Jewel is scheduled to use Terminal B for your 2-25-2019 departure.
We will be getting off the Jewel that day, as we are doing a B2B beginning Feb. 10th. We'll try to keep the ship in good standing for you! And enjoy your Panama Canal cruise! We did the full transit back in 2003 & would love to do it again. P.S. We have actually spent the day (& night) in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory! I believe we stayed at the Westmark Hotel. It was back in 2000 as part of our 10 night land tour on a MS Volendam cruise/tour. Small world!

What and why the big push to change all the cruises from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami? I know they didn’t ask me or the rest of the cruising world.
Sent from my iPad using Forums
tugboat,
Where did you read about Royal "changing all the cruises from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami"?
Please provide a link so we all can read this article.
Thanks,

Update: The Community Support Specialists at Cruise Critic are Awesome! :D
They fixed my issue & now our Jewel of the Seas, Feb. 10, 2019 cruise is showing on the "Find Your Roll Call" screen.
pizzalady1, hope you were successful as well.
Happy Sailing,
Suzy B

Hi pizzalady1,
I know exactly what you mean as I am having the same issue with our Feb. 10, 2019 Jewel of the Seas cruise.
Send an email to the following:
& one of the moderators will research & email back to you with their findings, like they are doing with my situation.
At first, they replied:
"Roll calls populate on the next server sync; it should be there by now. Please reply to this email if it isn't and we'll be glad to help."
So I checked after receiving their email & my thread was still not showing up on the "Find Your Roll Call" screen. I let them know so they are still trouble shooting to resolve the situation.
Hope this helps you out.
Suzy B
P.S. Host Bob, could you please take a look at my Roll Call thread that I started last month, April 5th, for the Feb. 10, 2019 Jewel of the Seas sailing to see if my date format is correct. Thank you very much.

Hi Beachin2,
Are the azipods repaired?
Did the Explorer make it to Maui or are you still in Honolulu?
Happy sailing,
Suzy B
-
Hi Beachin2,
You are now on the Explorer - hope you are enjoying your voyage.
Is there any way you can find out if the Explorer will be in dry dock during January/February 2020? (Sorry this is off the main topic, however, I see you are currently on line & on the Explorer.) Hoping you've heard something while on board.
Thanks for your help & assistance.
Happy Sailing,

Hi Grammy8kids,
Wanted to reassure you that our "Feb. 15 - 25, 2019 Southern Caribbean 10 nt. cruise from Miami", is still on. Please join us over on our Roll Call: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2605928
The Jewel of the Seas doesn't sail to Dubai until November 30, 2019 (from Rome) thru March of 2020. Here's the notice from RCCL's Deployment Dept.: http://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Deployment/2019_2020/Deployment_Dubai_JW.pdf
So those of us sailing on the Jewel during February 2019 are just fine. You mentioned that it doesn't show up in the brochure. That's because the Jewel is replacing the Navigator of the Seas, which will be in dry dock getting Royal Amplified refurbishments during January & most of February 2019. (1st cruise out of dry dock is Feb. 24, 2019 for the Navigator.)
Hope this helps you out. See ya over on our Roll Call:)
Happy Sailing,
Suzy B

Does anyone know why this booking is closed? Has a group chartered the Navigator for this Feb. 10 - 15, 2019 cruise?
This 2019 sailing out of Miami was just announced about two months ago (Mar. 2017). But now, it says "sold out". :(
Does anyone know what's going on?
Thanks for your help,
Suzy B

Hi Bob,
Thank you for sharing the useful links for Adventure.
We're looking forward to our 1st sailing on her next year for a Feb. B2B. Would you happen to know who are the Concierges?
Happy sailing,

Cruise Critic doesn't seem to be allowing the web site www. address. So if you right click on the following, it will take you to google:
PDF]View Freedom of the Seas' entire deployment here - Royal Caribbean ...
Then choose "Royal Caribbean to relocate Freedom of the Seas to San Juan . . ."
Hope this helps.

"When I called RCL, she said that she couldn't arrange the restaurant bookings on this deal and we have to wait until we're onboard."
Hi johnjen,
What RCL informed you is correct. We are Diamond+ & this has been the case for us - one can only book your BOGO free dinner when you're on board & be sure you tell the person taking the reservation at the restaurant, that you want to use your "BOGO free dinner" offer. When they enter your info in the computer, they choose the "BOGO" offer & it gets attached to you reservation.
When you arrive at the restaurant, you would want to verify that your BOGO free dinner request was put on your reservation.
Have a wonderful time on your Anthem cruise. :)
Take care,
Suzy B

Hi Bob,
The availability of sugar free cookies seem to differ from ship to ship.
We were on the Jewel for two weeks during February 2016 & they still had them, including sugar free peanut butter cookies in the Windjammer. If you don't see them, just ask one of the people bringing out the dessert items if there are any back in the kitchen. They'll bring them out for you or let you know when they'll be baked.
If you have access to the Concierge Club, they usually have cookies during the morning & afternoon. If you speak to the concierge, he/she can arrange to have sugar free cookies available for your enjoyment. ;)
Happy sailing,

Good news! I finally located photo’s of Navigator of the Seas, stateroom 9620 (see post #7 & #19 at: http://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1586308)
As you can see, it is from the UK Cruise Critic site. I couldn’t find it on US Cruise Critic. Three years ago, Stacy did a nice review of her family cruise with photos.
From her post #7, I can see the bed is on the LEFT wall, which is just what we are looking for. :D Maybe others will find this helpful.
Happy cruising,
Suzy B

Hi Elaine,
Yes, on both accounts. No description or photo‘s of either stateroom. Even tried youtube video‘s. People have given their opinion that they liked or disliked the stateroom, but no description of what side of the room the bed is located.
I was hoping someone who actually stayed in either room, or had knowledge of the rooms, would see my post & reply.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Take care,
Suzy B

Thanks for your reply Ashland. Seems that on the port side, when the bed is on the left wall, I don’t get sea sick. Maybe you are in the same boat, so to speak. ;)
When our stateroom was on the port side of the ship, & the bed was on the right side wall, I got sea sick. This article seems to hit the nail on the head:
http://www.motion-sickness-guru.com/preventing-sea-sickness-on-cruises.html
“If you are very sensitive, you may want to check on the direction of the bed(s) in your cabin. Some people find it disorientating and uncomfortable to have their bed facing backwards.”
We have found a cruise we are wanting to book, & 9620 & 9622 are the two rooms we are interested in. Just need to learn which one has the bath, sofa & bed all on the LEFT side of the stateroom.
Thanks again for your input.
Take care,
Suzy B

Have you stayed in either 9620 or 9622 Voyager class D1 hump, port side staterooms?
For anyone who has stayed in one of these specific staterooms (Superior Oceanview with Balcony) on any of the Voyager Class ships, I have a question.
Which stateroom is laid out with the bed on the left wall, 9620 or 9622?
Thank you very much,
Suzy B

Thank you for your reply’s. Let me rephrase . . .
For anyone who has stayed in stateroom 9620 or 9622 on any of the Voyager Class ships, I have a question.
Which stateroom is laid out the following way, 9620 or 9622?
Walking into the stateroom, the bathroom is to the right & the closet is to the left.
Continue walking into the stateroom & the sofa & bed are to the right & the vanity area, with the minibar, T.V. & safe, are to the left.
Thank you for your help & great memory.
Take care,
Suzy B
