  1. We are sailing on Allure in October, in 68 days. When can you check-in via the app and upload your photo, etc. Also, I have heard about some people getting expedited boarding. Anyone know anything about that? Do you only get that if you check-in via the app? Thanks!

  2. Correct. Lots of blackout dates though.

When will they offer kids sail free for cruises for next fall? That's what I have been waiting for.

  3. Thanks for the responses! It sounds like the pools aren't too crazy like I was thinking they would be, with the ship missing 2 pools. Yes, I know she won't be able to really swim laps like she does every day, but as long as it is not so crowded that she can get in and swim around, she will be happy! If a Spring Break cruise wasn't packed at the pools and slides, I don't think an October cruise would be. Thanks!

  4. We are looking to book a cruise next fall/winter, and am trying to decide between Oasis, Allure or Harmony. We have done Oasis twice, and would love to do Harmony with the new waterslides, etc. On Oasis and Allure they have the splash area with an actual, swimmable kid's pool. I have looked at many pictures of Harmony's kid's waterpark area, but can't tell if there is an actual pool. Not just a splash pool, but an actual swimmable pool. My 7 year old daughter is on the swim team so is a very strong swimmer, and will spend the whole day in the pool doing laps of the different swimming strokes. lol

Also I have heard that since Harmony doesn't have a Solarium pool, that they have made the Sports pool an adults only pool. Is this correct? So, it leaves just the Main pool and Beach pool for swimming for kids? I also wonder how busy that makes the pools on Harmony since they are short 2 pools from the Oasis and Allure (no solarium pool and no kids pool).

  5. Assume you are driving....unfortunately, the way that security fences are in place (not complaining about security, obviously it is needed), I do not think that you can walk to Terminal 29.

We have left from it twice, on the Navigator of the Seas for the NY's cruise 2016 and for our recent pre-Christmas on the Freedom. Both times we departed from Terminal 29.

We got to the port reasonably early this past December. Not too crazy, but we dropped all of our luggage other than a beach bag and the boys "stuff" bags with the port luggage handlers about 11:30am and then drove over to the parking garage. We looked around for a bit on the lower levels with no success and then just headed up to level 5 that had lots of choices. 1 of the 3 elevators were not working (our 3 teenage sons just walked down but I was lugging a fairly heavy beach bag with wine, etc. in it) but it was not too big of a wait. There was a shuttle bus there when we stepped out of the garage with FOS on the window. Not terrible or anything on arrival day.

BUT we carried off our luggage as soon as allowed on disembarkation day because we had an 11 hour drive home to South Carolina. That took about 25 minutes after we cleared Customs. Kind of a pain but, hey we had a great time on the cruise, so more of a bump in the road. Just a heads up.

Thank you! Yes, we are driving from North Carolina. We also like to carry our luggage off so we can hit the road as soon as possible (12-13 hour drive). So, thanks for the heads up on having to add a little more time to our "quick" debarkation.

  6. Thanks for the report. We were on the same cruise. We had a great time on the FOS, too. It was our 3rd time having enjoyed Eastern and Western out of Canaveral previously.

Our only complaint is that dock 29 is a pain at Port Everglades when driving a car on de-embarkation day. We walked off our luggage first thing and it took about 25 minutes to catch a shuttle to the garage.

Wondering because we will be cruising out of Port Everglades on Freedom in November-do you have to take a shuttle to the garage, or can you walk? What did you do when you arrived at the port? We have only used that nice, new terminal in Port Everglades, and never one of the others. Thanks!

  7. Has anyone heard what the height restrictions for the new waterslides will be on Harmony? I know Liberty is getting them too.

We want to book Harmony as soon as the 2017 fall dates come out, and want to make sure my daughter will be able to do the slides. She is only 5, but a very experienced swimmer (which I know won't matter), but very petite, so hoping the height restricitons won't be too high for her.

  8. We are cruising in a few days, the first time cruising with the 3 free drink vouchers in the evening. The last time we cruised, we had the diamond booklets with the free drinks. My question is, can you use those drink vouchers for soda, and also can you use them in the dining room that night. It says the hours are from 5-9:30 to use the vouchers, so I assume you can use them in the dining room. But, would like to know for sure. Thanks!

  9. We're going on Indy Oct 18 th and I looked for the waiver also...I had done it online precruise for Allure ...can't remember if I did it for my Freedom cruise. But definitely not there for the Indy unless it's hidden real good.

It's weird that it's there for Freedom and Liberty and not Independence. I wonder why.

  10. Just filled out all my check-in online info for our Indy cruise on Oct. 11th. I have been on many RCCL cruises in the past and was able to complete the onboard activities waiver for all of us online before we set sail. This time, there is no option to do that online for our cruise. Weird! And, I do know where to look because I have done it many times before-but it is not there this time.
