Hello friends!  My family is leaving from NOLA for the first time (always has been NY before) and I have a few questions.  I normally get seasick leaving from NY.  How is the ride leaving port from NOLA?  We have seen on several you tube videos that passengers were allowed to drop off carry on luggage to their cabins once boarding the ship before the rooms were ready.  Is this normally allowed?  Last question, I read that Margaritaville is free for lunch on boarding day.  Can anyone confirm this for me?  Thank you in advance for your help!  

Please let me know if you made it!  We have a 7am Sunday morning arrival time into port and want to make a 11:10 flight, also in Feb.  What do you think?

Thank You!  i wasn't exactly sure what the rules were.  I'm water drinker so the beverage package isn't a good deal for me unless I can use it to get stuff for the kids!

Hello!  If we choose the UBP for our upcoming cruise, does this allow our kids (ages 9 & 11) to also get beverages?  The last 2 cruises that we took, we had the UBP and the kids automatically got sodas/smoothies or whatever they asked for.  We were in the Haven for those trips so I'm not sure if they got the drinks because of their age or our room type.  Thank you for sharing your experience!

Hello!  I'm considering taking advantage of my latitudes perk and doing the behind the scene tour of the Getaway.  Do they allow children on the tour?  Kids will be 11 and 9.  Thank You!

We did this cruise in May. My kids (ages 9 and 8) wanted to do karaoke as well. We went to Bliss for family karaoke but were a little disappointed. The choices of songs were not stuff that my kids knew. Hopefully your daughter knows some older songs! We did the space center tour through NCL when we did the same cruise 2 years ago. On the bus ride to the center, they will give you a map and go over how to see the most for your time in the park. When we went to Atlantis, there was a movie that you could watch before you went to the room to see the shuttle. We skipped the movie to save time and got to be in the shuttle room practically by ourselves. It made it worth it! Enjoy your cruise!!

We have sailed on the Gem in the 2 bedroom family suite and the same room in the Haven. The biggest difference, aside from price, is the peace and quiet. If you are looking to escape the crowds the Haven is the place to do it. There is a private sundeck, hot tub and a small pool with plenty of comfortable loungers. There is a waiter to take drink/snack/meal orders until 4pm in the Courtyard. There is also a small mens and women's sauna.

We cruised in the same room right after you! We left on May 12th. FYI, there was a package of swim diapers left in the room when we got in. I gave it a family with toddlers that was traveling in the Haven and they got used! There was also a small sunblock stick left behind, in case someone is looking for it. Looking forward to your review!

Thank you everyone for responding! I plan to ask for a pitcher of water to be brought to the room and will fill them up that way! I'm just glad I can bring them.

Just curious if a personal reusable water bottle can be filled on the ship and brought on and off for excursions. (Florida/Bahamas). I know food can't be brought but wasn't sure about water. Thanks!
