Nice to have $22K to lose in 1 day.... I wish he had the brains to know not to lose that much though.

I just went there today -- first time in about a year I think. They still have the "Free Buy" on 4 and 10, so they've had it for at least a year and a half......

Well let me clarify-I hardly EVER play roulette. If I am at the craps table next to a roulette table and see that there were six reds in a row ,"just for fun" I will simply toss a $5 chip on the black. There is no rhyme of reason to it. It is based on gut feelings. I am not suggesting this is a strategy to WIN in roulette. That is simply the way I play, IF I play. Does it win? Not too often because I hardly ever play roulette. Have I won before? Yes. Is it a roulette strategy? No. It is Yo Eleven's.

Just curious, what did you expect the bus driver and tour guide to do?

In a tour bus, I'd expect them to provide service with a smile, helpful tips, courteous answers, patience and understanding, helping hand for elderly, kids and disabled and for bags. If they do all this thats worthy of a tip.

Because the ship arranged tours _usually_ do not provide individualized service.

I do not see the need to tip for ship arranged tours unless you have special needs or the driver/guide goes over and beyond in helping you in some other way. For private tours, we tip $20 to the guide and $10 to the driver for the whole family. Both the guide and the driver have always seemed happy getting that tip.

We were thinking of the Panama Canal cruise in April 2010. When I was talking to the guy at "Funforless.com" he said that the 2010 schedule wasn't out yet and that it looks like, for some reason, very few ships will be doing that cruise in 2010. So we've decided on the Nov 1, 2009 trip out of San Diego and up to San Juan.

And, yes, we're a bit concerned about the weather in November.

Craps is a game of pure chance like roulette or slots. I like to play blackjack where there is *some* strategy and skill involved.

One of the recommended ways to play I read about is called the 5 throw rule. You wait to bet until after the first 5 throws. I don't, you never know when the long roll is going to begin.

Why is that?
