  1. Do the cruise lines offer the shuttle both ways?  Also where is the pick up in Venice?  We are starting to look at hotels for 2 nights pre cruise.

What do you recommend for a flight time home from Venice after debark?  What would be the earliest we could get to comfortably with Royals shuttle?  I found a flight for 11:00 AM and concerned that would be too early.

    Thank you for any help

  2. I cancelled a cruise last Friday 9/24 that is sailing next Sunday 10/3.   When I received my future cruise certificate, it was less port fees and taxes.  Is this normal?  I did call to get the certificate to take advantage of a rate on a future sailing.  The rep was very helpful getting the certificate quickly, but said I was being penalized for cancelling so close to the cruise and not receiving the port fees and taxes back???  Is this a normal practice.  I assumed I would receive all my payments back.  Thanks for any clarification.

call 1 866 562 7625  press option 4.  Automated system to get a new booking invoice that should have the new cruise listed on it.  If its still the old cruise then call

After another phone call of 1 3/4 hours it all got situated.  Somehow I have a large credit coming back to me in addition to the cancelled planner items I had purchased.  Time will tell.  Sometimes Royal math doesn't make sense to me.

Thank you all for your help!

  4. Yesterday I switched our Oct. 2020 cruise out of Cape Liberty to an Oct. 2021 cruise.  Same ports and itinerary.  I waited on hold for 1 1/2 hours and then another 1/2 hour to be completed by a supervisor.  All was taken care of.  i have not received an email confirming and it does not show up on Royals site either.  When I check the 2021 cruise our cabin is still listed as available.  Do you think I need to call again?

  5. I am looking for airfare for next fall. We will be traveling from Philadelphia to Barcelona to board the Symphony. What are your thoughts on using air 2 sea? What seems to be a fair price? We have never been to Europe and just starting to research. Thanks for any help or advice given.

  6. Generally speaking, it's best to book the cruise you want when it first becomes available. That way you get the best available cabin at the best available price. IMO, that beats any OBC you would get by booking onboard. If by some chance your cabin is still available at the opening price when you sail in May, cancel and rebook, if you live in a country where that is allowed. (Rules change from country to country and I didn't notice where you are from.)

Thanks, I will probably go with this plan.

  7. We also ate lunch at Giovanni's on embarkation day on your cruise! Hopefully we were there after you or didn't annoy you too much as we were a big group of 10. By the time we left it was only officers eating in the restaurant. Last year they did the consecutive cruiser lunch in Allure for lunch and they were turning people away. So it does seem like you have a good chance of getting in, but if there's some sort of travel agent lunch or consecutive cruiser lunch it may be trickier.

My husband and I were at the window table next to your group. What a great start to the cruise.
