On Marina last month. Agree….worn, faded and torn drapes, bedskirts, couch and headboard fabric, chipped furniture, broken lights. Booked a 2024 cruise thinking ship would be new….will cancel.
Every travel magazine and service had numerous articles about the refits. Not a word about  Marina cancellation.

What cabin number were you in?  Will be on Marina in a few weeks

We highly recommend Casa sul Mare. It’s a B&B directly across from the terminal.

We HIGHLY recommend Casa Sul Mare!!! Make sure to ask for a room with you bathroom en-suite. Lovely Hosts!

  3. I use Squaremouth.com. They let you build your own needs and then list all insurance offers. We have used several companies, including Tin Leg. I’ve never had a problem finding the right policy, including zero deductible medical. I’ve been I’ll on 3 different cruises over the years and never had a problem. BTW, insurance rates are the same on all these websites. They are regulated.

We will be there with you johnlcruise, looking forward to this trip with friends. Undoubtably we will see you at the January 18 Meet and Greet that Bruce is hosting. Sophie, I am sure you will be seeing many posts and pictures from this years trip. This is our 3rd attempt, barely 70 days to go as we have added a trip to Iguazu Falls.  The EXCITEMENT builds.

We’ll be getting on right after you arrive in Santiago on 2/7 !  Enjoy

  5. I don’t know if this has been answered somewhere in the last 56 pages, but I am wondering if you can book spa or salon services ahead of boarding. I can’t seem to find this answer on Azamara website. It’s actually a very unhelpful website!

    Thanks, so far.

I think we're settled on a particular cruise on Riviera and now have a shortlist of staterooms.  Amongst our original choice of A1 staterooms, we like the look of 10051, 10053 and 10076. Taking up LHT28's point about A2, we reminded ourselves that this is what we had on our previous O cruise on Marina so we're also thinking about 9074 or 9075. Any thoughts on these particular ones - they are all midship as we're not keen on being right at the front or back?  Hoping to make a decision in the next couple of days and are in contact with O for a costed proposal, including transatlantic air fare, etc.

We sailed in 9079 several times. Very nice location.

Wow, we have never been able to do either of those tours, always told NO to the Galley. We have done one TA on Marina and it was great and looking forward to our Riviera TA leaving from Rome  November 17 👍🙏🚢🍷

See you onboard!!! FP due 6/20. It will be an awesome TA as we’re all so excited to be cruising at all!!

I am looking forward to being able to enjoy the freedom of 6 sea days during our TA next year - having never done a TA this has been on my list of wanting to do for some time.

I don’t want to have a schedule, I don’t want to be organised. I want to read a few good books, play some poker (hopefully) enjoy some good food and just decompress. This is a tombola birthday trip for me so I plan to revel in every second.

I would like tips for the ship building competition however.

We were on a TA on Regatta several years ago. My husband and the other 2 guys in our party decided to build a boat for the competition. They started with the foot stool on the balcony, got some supples from cabin crew/butler, like tin foil etc. they really got into it and won!  Good entertainment for some retired engineers.

Wanted to bounce this up again. Have either of you checked with your TA to see if this is still the case?

    Please report back.

How about others with cruises booked in November. Has your final payment date been altered?

    Insignia, Regatta, Sirena?

On Riviera 11/17 from Rome to Miami. Spoke to TA yesterday. No info from Oceania moving payment from June 9. Still due then. 🙏🏼 it goes. Optimistic.

I touched upon this in another thread. Airlines schedules are being turned upside down. United has completely changed the flight itinerary for my November cruise 3 times in the last month, and that trip is six (6) months out. For my trips 45-60 days out, not only were they changed several months ago, they are still being reshuffled. If anyone paid a premium for a select routing, to end up with what we now have, they would be @*€🤬 to say the least.

With this in mind, one has to realize that NCLH continues to bleed cash profusely and Oceania/NCLH Air is working with minimal staffing. That minimal staff doesn’t have time to be chasing their tails trying to reshuffle all the changes, plus do new bookings. This is especially the case for flights on cruises that Oceania already knows won’t sail.

Add to this, the airlines are changing the rules again, back to pre pandemic standards, wherein if a flight is booked it has to be paid for. More cash NCLH doesn’t have, and moving final payment to 60 days for scheduled upcoming cruises hasn’t helped cash flow.

With the opening of the economy along with international travel, the airlines industry has done us a favor. They have forced those cruise lines offering air packages to make a go or no go decision at least 75-90 days pre cruise. No more waiting until 45-60.

Our mid November cruise now has a mid September payment date. Trust me, NCLH can’t afford to fork over $$$K of dollars to the airlines at 75-90 days out to then cancel the cruise at 60 days. We’ll now know by August if the cruise is going.

I’m on Riviera in mid November and haven’t heard about final payment moving out until September!
