  1. Be careful what you put in your valet bags- we used it from Miami in February of 2019 and our luggage was left in Miami in a warehouse. Don’t pack anything you need first thing Monday morning when reality rears it’s ugly head and you have to go back to work😞. We got our luggage delivered by Fedex on Wednesday from our Sunday flight.

  2. Don’t forget that flavored spirits like Fireball are not bourbon, they are blended whiskey. Cruising is not the place to expect good bourbon. On our last cruise we did not upgrade to premium beverage because of the slim picking for bourbon. Once the Woodford Double began to be available we spent less than the upgrade cost per day and just paid for premium bourbon when the had it. About $2.00 a drink if I remember correctly and we came out ahead😉. For good bourbon, Kentucky is the place to vacation.

  3. If you have the classic package and are thinking about upgrading, you should check the bourbon available before you do. Our last cruise they pulled out one bottle of Woodford Double Oak on day 5, when I complained to a beverage supervisor. It was cheaper to pay the difference for two days than to pay $12.00 plus per day for Makers, but that is my personal choice - and I have about 150 bottles or so as well😋

  4. We were on the Summit in August and the bourbon selection was very sorry. On day five they had Woodford Double Oak in the shops for sale but not in any bar. Nothing else on their list is close to premium in my opinion. I complained to a beverage manager who happened to be in the shop area and a bottle amazingly appeared in one bar, but on future sailings we will always check the bourbon selection before upgrading to premium beverages. It is a much better deal to just pay the upcharge for whatever they happen to have than be disappointed when none is to be found.

  5. Last January on the Eclipse I just asked the cabin steward once I got on board and he brought distilled water. I understand that the refurbishment has added electric outlets near head of bed for those ships already done. Hope so - on the Summit in August 😍😎🥳

  6. With the recent (or future since it goes into effect Jan. 2) increase in gratuities someone on one of our Roll Calls asked about the breakout for where those gratuities go so I found this list someone posted.

In looking at it again I noticed the "Aqua Attendant".

We've been sailing in Aqua for years and I have never seen or heard from an "Aqua Attendant".

Does anyone have a clue what this is?

Looks like it is your cabin attendant in a Aqua class cabin. Gratuities in Aqua .50 more than the others.

  7. On Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse and Silhouette only AquaClass and higher rooms have handheld shower units. ALL other categories have fixed showerheads unless they are ADA compliant accessible rooms. On Reflection all cabins/suites have handhelds.

IMHO the biggest miss in the bathroom design on the first 4 Solstice class vessels was the inclusion of fixed showerheads vs handhelds.

    Agree! Thanks!
