We were in 1554 on Serenade in October. I can tell you with certainty that there are 2 loungers.

I also will tell you that this is my favorite cabin and we  have stayed in 1554 on all other Radiance class ships. This particular cabin on Serenade was the noisiest one by far. We could hear the TV from the Royal Suite from 6:00 am until midnight or later every day.

I mention this because I have no idea whether or not we just had an unbelievably rude or hard of hearing neighbor or if the placement of the TV on this ship

is different in the neighboring cabin than on other Radiance class ships.

I love the cabin so much we booked it for Panama Canal 2020 so really hoping it was just bad luck with an inconsiderate neighbor !

Deck plans for Radiance of the Seas shows cabin 1554 is not adjoining the Royal Suite - 1556 is adjoining. Have you stayed in 1556 on ROS and did you have the same TV noise situation?

  5. When the ferry docks, if you are standing on the pier looking at the island, look to your right. follow the beach off to the right and you will run into a trail. Follow this trail up and away from the beach to the other side of the point of land to the right. You will come to a beach on the other side of the point. There you will see a rope with buoys on it that goes out and around that point. This is a part of the reef that has been protected. Snorkel out along this rope and follow it around the point. The water on this side of the point is not as protected as the swimming beach side, so the water is not calm. However if you have any experience with snorkeling, and are comfortable in the water you will be fine. My son did this with me both times and he was 14 or so the first time, and had no problems. The visibility is good and there are a lot of corrals, sponges, Conchs, and fish of all varieties. Both times we went we were the only ship in port. Getting a taxi to and from was not a problem. However leave early to make sure you have time to get back to the ship.

What is the earliest ferry to the Island? Thanks for the excellent instructions above !

  6. If your flight has any maintenence problems they will have to fly in a replacement plane from another airport. We have experienced two overnight delays on the route between Eugene, OR and Mesa, AZ. LOVE that route, little airport to little airport, but the equipment has proven unreliable and there are no "extra" aircraft at these small airports. Build in LOTS of extra time flying w/Allegiant.

  7. Taken from this morning's email:

"6. Air transportation, shore excursion packages, pre/post hotel accommodations, government or quasigovernmental taxes, fees or surcharges and other items of a personal nature that are not normally included in the cruise vacation fare, including but not limited to, certain beverages, dining in onboard specialty restaurants, telephone calls, internet usage, photographs, gratuities and medical services, etc., are not included in any cruise vacation packages provided by Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises or Azamara and are not eligible for offset with the use of any Reward Redemption. "

Does this mean OBC Reward will not apply to Specialty Restaurant charges?
