  1. Are you staying at the Marriott in Palm Beach? I know that they were the only properties that you were originally considering. I think that you will be very happy with your choice. There is so much to do there. Congrats!

Yeah the Aruba Marriott and stellaris casino or maybe the surf club if available. I have marriott points to use.

  2. There are pros and cons to both. Marriott is on Palm Beach, which is very busy. It is a beautiful property, with lots of restaurants, bars, and shopping right there. The water is very calm, lake like. The beach gets very congested, but if you like a lively area, with lots to do and lots of restaurants and bars, that's the place for you.

Renaissance is downtown. If you decide on Renaissance , make sure that you book in the Ocean Suites, not the Marina hotel. These are two different properties, and the Marina is not on the water. The Ocean Suites is on the water, but it is not on one of Aruba's resort beaches. However, it has a nice lagoon on the property instead of a beach front. We just bought a timeshare there, and we love to spend the day at the lagoon. It does have a sandy entrance, and you can swim in it. Renaissance has it's own private island, which is the draw there, and they have boats that take guests over all day. It is very nice, with flamingos walking around, and a restaurant . The downtown area isn't as bustling as Palm Beach at night, but there are quite a few great restaurants within walking distance, or a short taxi ride away. There are two casinos downtown, and quite a few along Palm Beach.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for. Both are great properties.

Thank you this was very helpful

  3. Spending a week in Aruba in January for our honeymoon and looking for suggestions. We are staying on palm beach

Haven't done much research but want to go to the natural pool if anyone has a good company for that.

I would also like to do a sunset dinner cruise.

    Thanks

  4. Planning a true to Aruba for my honeymoon staying on Marriott points and news hlep deciding between 2 hotels:

    Renaissance Aruba resort

    Or

Aruba Marriott resort and Stellaris casino.

Would like good resturants close by as I don't anticipate eating at the resort much to save a few bucks.

    Thanks!!

  5. Hi will be docked in Falmouth and was planning on doing an excursion through royal for dunns river falls and inner tubing down the river and says weight limit is 250. Does anyone know how strict they are? My bf is worried he will be 5/10 pounds over especially after a couple days on the boat. Thanks

  6. Awesome thanks. How much time do we need to get off the boat to catch the last shuttle one is 10 one is 1030 with about $15 price difference for all 3 of us. I was hoping to stay on the boat till they kicked us off but if we have to be at shuttle by 10 I would think we have to get off at 9

  7. Looking for help/ reviews if anyone has done either of these they recommend and why. I have white water rafter in West Virginia before and loved it. I was in Falmouth a couple years ago and stayed in the shopping port and with a recent itinerary change some extra on board credit in looking to get out there and do something. Thanks

Rio bueno river rafting adventure fy96 vs the jungle tubing adventure or even considering the inner tubbing with dunns river falls.

  8. You have to submit a receipt for the change fees to Royal to get reimbursed. They will only reimburse change fees, not any costs for increase in fares. OBC from Royal is usually not refundable.

So if it's cheaper to book 2 new flights then the change fee is that fine? Just send them the receipt?

  9. I was booked on the 1/21 allure sailing that got cancelled. Royal is offering $200 flight rebooking and extra on board credit.

Does anyone know how the flight reimbursement works? I had booked 2 one way trips so likely will cost more then this to change but also used points.

2nd does anyone know if not used would this type of on board credit be able to be refunded?

    Thanks stressed out

  10. Royal is offering additional onboard credit and flight change fees up to $200 does anyone know how the flight reimbursement works? I booked 2 one ways on 2 different airlines one using miles and the other using a partial airline credit. 2nd if it doesn't get used would any of the onboard credit be refundable
