We're on a March sailing and are in the same situation with kids 11 and 15. We booked 2 interior connecting on Deck 9. Should be fine and you're only 1 floor below the action and only have staterooms above and below you. So don't have to worry about other noises.

Using ours for gratuities. Gonna buy cheers when it gets closer to the end of the month, so I know that they haven't canceled anything.

Booked direct w/Carnival.
I'm out on 3/28 as well and have nothing yet either. Personally think they are dealing with the next 2 weeks 1st. Prob will get something by Monday.

Thanks! I figured that was the case, as I was gonna pay for them next week early. So this works.

So we have 2 rooms on our upcoming cruise in 22 days. Can you still use on board credits for gratuities on Carnival?

Cruisegus, I see from the address you used in your "report back" that you may have stayed at the Springhill Suites on JFK BLvd? If so what was your experience with this hotel?
I'm curious about that hotel as well. I actually have it booked for next month.

Did you book your Uber XL on 11/24 prior to your cruise getting back to Galveston, or did you do it in the morning when you had your bags? I'm just a little hesitant to use it for the return.

I believe that the doors allow for magnets. I think we used magnetic hooks on the other side of the door to hang some items.

We originally booked this setup for our upcoming cruise, but it looked way too tight. Grabbed an ocean view with the sofa bed and upper pullman, just for the pure square footage.

I just checked my booking and it has gone up $10 since last week.

It is not more expensive to renew after it expires.
Only after 10 years. Mine was expired and it cost the standard $110.

Since the 80's to present the dress expectations have really changed. I used to cart a tux with me back in the day, but now on formal nights it's a shirt and a tie. For all other days, I will wear, jeans or shorts with a collared shirt (polo or short sleeve button down). Based upon the dress code rules, this fits the bill. I mean considering they only use table clothes on formal nights.

On all the cruises I have been on over the years, I think I have seen 2 people ever in them. I would think that these could be used for something better than a coffee shop. I mean I like coffee, but....

I personally had the same issue. I actually emailed the maitre d and the dining team. I was able to get mine moved up. I found the ships email on one of the threads here.

I agree with everyone as well. Get the fixed time dining. A group that large might also slow things down for others trying to get in with a smaller group. By doing fixed, they are already prepared for you.

You can bring on a 12 pack of soft drinks as long as they are in cans. Same actually goes for water as well. You can bring on water in cans, that is if you can find canned water.

I'm personally booked pre-cruise at the Sheraton at IAH. Renting a car that night and driving to the port the next morning. In the long run, it is cheaper than the shuttles for us. We are getting in at 11:30pm the night before, so it seems just easier.
-
We're personally going to fly in the night before and stay near IAH the night before. I'm gonna rent a car as well and drive down. We are staying 2 days post cruise as well and it just seemed like more hassle to shuttle and Uber for the last couple of days. Paid $250 for a full size via Costco. I would suggest paying the port parking fee, instead of the paying for the drop off fee with the rental car company. Those are normally really expensive.

We did link them already. Just hate booking this late, but the price was right. Still have 52 days, so hopefully this will get fixed on it's own.

Thx was planning on that as well. My brother just got a early confirmation, so fingers crossed that we get confirmed now as well ahead of time. Otherwise have to make that my 1st stop when boarding.see the maitre d when you board the shipSent from my SM-N950U using Forums mobile app

My family is currently booked for late dining and are looking to switch to either early or anytime. My reservation shows that we are waitlisted for anytime. I am also traveling with my brother and his family. He is waitlisted for early. What is the easiest way to get these switched together and have either early or anytime? We both have little kids, so late just won't work.

We are flying in on a Friday and are staying at the Sheraton. I think that I am just gonna get up and rent a car at the Airport on Sat morning and drive down to the port. I mean there are 4 of us, it will cost $50 to park and $225 for a car rental. We are also staying 2 days post cruise, so it is almost a break even compared to shuttle service. Also, let's us explore a little on our next 2 days after the cruise.

I'm actually having a similar dilemma as well. We are looking at doing a zip lining tour in PV. We have 2 options of 8:45am and 10:45am. According to Carnival we are getting in at 9am, but I think the time changes when we get to PV from CA. Its been a hot minute since I have done this route. Anyone have any advice on what happens to ship time? Also anyone done the Los Veranos Canopy Tour? Thanks in advance!
