I have elderly family members back home I would like to check on when we are on the cruise. Has anyone used the international calling cards? Do they work in the Caribbean? The family members do not have computers so that does not work. I have T-Mobile for my cell phone but the last time I tried to add international calling, it was a pure disaster!!

Any advice??

Since the OP is coming from Wilkes Barre, PA, I'm wondering if they considered the park/sleep/cruise package from Trinity reservations at the Ramada Plaza at Newark Airport for a little over $200 tax included. Staying at EWR would offer a faster easier trip to Times Square. They would avoid the $15 bridge toll to get onto Staten Island plus some Turnpike toll plus an extra 20-30 minutes each way to get on and off of Staten Island.

Post cruise they would have the option of staying at EWR or moving up the turnpike to a Secaucus hotel where they would have free parking and quick cheaper bus service directly to the Times Square area of Manhattan. Lots of options to position themselves for a shorter trip home at the end of their stay.

We are going on our cruise in a few months. We chose a Staten Island hotel the night before and will park our car there. We also plan to stay at the hotel for one night after the cruise. Does anyone know the best way to get from Staten Island to Times Square and that area?

Is there any discounted parking or hotels in the area of the Bayonne port that offer shuttles?

Our daughter is turning 21 so just wondering if there is enough to do. The Oasis sure had a lot to do.

We are currently booked on the Allure but I have to change that reservation. I still am looking at another date for the Allure but also am considering the Anthem since it leaves NJ. We would save money by not flying to FLL.

Who has gone on the Quantum (since the Anthem is not here yet) and did you like it? Has anyone been on both? What would you say?

I am watching the Fort Lauderdale webcam and the Caribbean Princess just came back. It looked so weird to see it by the hotel or condos almost out to sea and then come back!! Did something happen???

*****LOL but you do look funny. We are from the Norhteast and always laugh at how wimpy people can be!! We are used to cold and actually 50 degrees is nice compared to some of the winters we have.

Note to self: Buy more socks!!! I don't do cold either! Heavy wool socks are impossible to find here, so I'll have to go with the 2 pair method.

Is this menu change to all of the ships for Chops? We are going on the Rhapsody to Alaska. Has the cost gone from $30 to $35 a person? Is there copy of the new menu somewhere?

When we purchased our certificate in 2012, I put $100 down and did not have an exact booking date. When I booked, I then put the additional deposit down. Has that changed?? Do you have to put a deposit for each person???
