I had 2 cruises cancelled by Carnival on the last round of cancellations. On Oct 2nd I requested full refunds. They were posted to my credit cards tonight. It only took 7 days. woo hoo

I was wondering if anyone had a comped cruise (directly from Carnival and not land based offer) cancelled due to Covid-19 and what the cancellation was like. With today's extended cancellation dates, my cruise is cancelled and I want to select option 1 to get the $600 onboard credit for future cruises but since I didn't pay anything except the port fees and taxes, would I still be eligible? Thanks in advance!
I had a "comped" balcony for my June cruise that was cancelled by Carnival. They would not extend the offer to my re-booked Nov cruise, since the "comped balcony" offer had already expired.

Going out of NOLA, it only takes minutes for the casino to open after leaving.

I know this is a long shot, but I got off the Carnival Fantasy this morning. Feb 8, 2020
I found a item in the cabin safe M-28, I turned it into guest services. So if you forgot a item, Carnival has it.

My question is how are your minor children in their own room? Even if you booked it, they have to have an adult over 25 in the room. Yes, I know they will switch when they board.

Guests 12 and younger
If the relative or guardian insists on booking separate staterooms, minors must either be directly across the hall or next door. Guests 12 and under may not be assigned to a balcony stateroom without a relative or guardian (25 years of age or older) traveling in the balcony stateroom with them. -
Guests 13 - 17 years of age
Can be separated by up to 3 staterooms from a relative or guardian (25 years of age or older). -
Guests 18 – 20 years of age
Do not have any restrictions and may book whatever location they prefer.

Mine always come UPS, and signature is required, unless you go to UPS site and authorize them to leave it without signature

toiletry bag and packing cube the best

I do the same thing, but if I pull $100 into my machine and want to -or, in some cases, HAVE to-- leave while I still have $45 in free play, I want to make sure that it goes back into my separated S&S "bank." Are you saying it won't?
jj
If you download say 100.00 to your machine and only spend 55.00, the remaining 45.00 will go back onto your card as "free play"

I have done a name change on a premier offer before. But the invited guest must go. So if you were the invited guest there shouldn't be a problem. If your husband was the invited guest then you won't be able to make the change, definitely call your TA

Try setting up an account with UPS on line. After you register with them, you will get tracking updates and estimated delivery times. There's an option to electronically sign for the delivery as well, so UPS can just leave the pkg. if you won't be home, but I haven't done that for any valuable deliveries, like these cards.
Thank you for this information. Since I didn't have a tracking number I was getting concerned. but after signing up with UPS, I now know pkg will be delivered tomorrow.

Anyone who tried to buy Carnival gift cards, they are available now. Just bought one.
I just snagged two 500.00 ones

I have always arrived at port around 10:30 and been on the ship before noon. With new assigned boarding times will o really be forced to wait? My time is 1pm and I will be there at 10:30.

1 pm is your "check in time" not boarding time. last time I went out of PC they were enforcing the check in time, unless you are platinum, diamond or fttf

I have been hearing on the cruise radio podcast which is a pretty trustworthy source that fuel surcharges are becoming a possibility as oil prices keep on moving up. They said last time the cruise lines did this was back in the 2008 time frame.
We have a cruise coming up in February and it is fully paid. If a fuel surcharge is put in place before our cruise does anyone know if it will be applied to me who is already paid in full or if it would just apply to new bookings?

I had a fully paid cruise when fuel charges were added years ago. they did add the cost to my booking, but wound up refunding it a day or so before we sailed.

This just shows the misinformation out there. I believe you, but I read another post a while back that stated the casino didn't open until the ship was out in the ocean (which means hours after setting sail).
It depends on the port. NOLA is one port that literally opens within minutes of leaving.

I booked a cruise months ago. I don't remember the rate code, but I had just gotten back from a cruise and they sent me a offer with a small amount of OBC. Last week I got a offer with a large amount of casino cash and I called my PVP. They were able to cancel my original booking, saved me 469.00 dollars (rate went way down) and I also got the casino cash. So yes they can do it. It took almost 45 minutes on the phone, but was well worth it. And I got to keep my original room too.

I would switch in a heartbeat. I love staying on lido deck
-
I did it one time. it was ok, but not worth the cost IMHO

I also know that if you book on the first night that a free bottle of wine is included. . We aren't wine drinkers but I will occasionally drink a glass of mascato. Is that available as the free wine?
Moscato is not the free wine. It is what I drink, that's how I know. lol

Several years ago I went with a group of 32. 4 of them were first timers, who didn't know about online check in. Once we got to port, they had to show ID, then were taken to the "naughty room" to do their check in. Took about 20 minutes total. Not the greatest way to start a cruise, but we laughed about it later.

going on the Dream in February. I am booked in cove balcony and got upgrade email offer for balcony Veranah deck for 54.00 total. Don't like the location, so turned it down.
