I am going to assume you're not sailing anytime within the next 5 months as it looks like late September is Horizon's first call at La Romana. It's possible that excursion will be offered by Carnival between now and then for your sailing but it's kind of a "who knows?" situation unless you contact Carnival Shore Excursions and ask them: shoreexcursions@carnival.com
Thank you for the email!

Catalina Island, La Romana DR.

You mention Horizon to Catalina Island, I thought Horizon was going to be on the East coast doing Bermuda and Caribbean itineraries. When are you sailing?
We are Sailing Feb 2019.
-
We are booked on upcoming Horizon cruise. Looking to book Catalina Island, La Romana DR. It’s not showing an an option.
-
Would love some information for La Romana, previously we did Catalina Island as a ship excursion. We will be visiting again and we just want a beach day close to port. Is it safe to take taxis? Is there any really close beaches?

This is not true, it has been confirmed by John Heald several times now.

Thanks for the reply, do they always offer these perks? Just wondering if I need to book quickly or If I have time to explore my options further. Booking for our 10th Anniversary and we wan't something different than we have done on our previous Carnival Cruises.
The current offer is 2 perks for oceanview and above and 4 perks for suites. I have not found a Canadian TA who offers decent perks or substantial OBC. The rules of CC do not allow for naming of specific travel agents.Sent from my HUAWEI KII-L05 using Tapatalk

To funny yes we love our Caesars...Thanks for the info!!
I'm not from the land of Caesar and Corona lovers, but the travel agencies will not be allowed to be mentioned here on Cruise Critic. -
Looking to book our first Celebrity Cruise and have a few questions? Do they always offer choice of perks. 2 for Veranda, 4 for Suite? Do you ever see an on board credit combined with this offer from any Canadian Travel agencies?
-
So glad you posted this question, I am looking at the same thing.

Thanks so much everyone. I love that you can pay the difference. I really like my wine and often find the better ones are $11 and up, so it will be great to pay the difference on them.

does anyone have a bar menu so I can see what drinks are under $9. First cruise on Celebrity!!!
-
I hope this steak option is on the Miracle in 2 days! I always dine in the steak house at least once per cruise but this will be a huge step up from the steaks they serve in the dining room. I'm just happy the Miracle has the old menu because in April on the Liberty all 6 of us thought the food was terrible!!!

Prices vary for buckets depending on brand. Google carnival bar menu. You can find all the prices.

We had a round table for 10 on the Glory.
Thanks so much , I will put my request into John Heald on FB, he's really good at getting these arrangements made so your not standing in lines waiting to see the Maitre D on the first day and then find out they can't accommodate you.
-
Has anyone requested to be placed at a round table for a large group of 9? I know I have been at a table for 8 once, and can't remember if they go any larger. We will be on the Miracle to Hawaii in Just 28 short days!!!

Each cruise will be different, it all depends on how fast the original block of FTTF sells out, it could be hundreds of days before or much closer to, then they assess how many Diamond, Platinum guests they have about 30 days out and may open up spots, anywhere from 1-20 is what I've seen! There unfortunately is no real formula or way to tell, but I personal checked 2 times a day and just after 4 a day last week there were 10 spots !!!

I'm interested as well, we sail on the Liberty in 20 days!!! Loved the old menus and so far from what I've seen on the new menus they seem to be lacking in choices if you don't eat seafood! And I hear desserts are very limited.

We currently have Goff's booked for our upcoming April cruise. I am leaning towards doing Caye Caulker. Trying to find information on how to do it on our own, without risking safety or return to the ship. If anyone has experiences on how to get the water taxi to Caye Caulker or any other info it would appreciated. I am finding Belize a hard port to find something that sounds good for us...Beach, Beers, food, music and some snorkelling at our own leisure.

We are trying aft on liberty for the first time in 28 days, cabin 8461. Can anyone share info on this cabin?
