  1. RickEk, thank you. Do you have any more photo's of the family suite on Sapphire please? We have one booked for a 2018 summer sailing and if the photo's online are not of the Sapphire would really be interested to see what we are in for. Thank you.

  2. Yes, 2012!

Really sorry, but hope someone can help.

I am looking either to get back into the roll call for our cruise in 2012, or for the details of the tour operator that was booked with fellow guests on CC for Reykavic (and beyond!). We had a great tour guide - minibuses (2) driven by a husband and wife team. Fabulous guides and were organised by a fellow CC guest.

Now returning to Iceland and would like to book the same guides if we can.

Grateful for any help. Posting here rather than under Iceland in hope that fellow cruisers from 2012 may read.

Have cruised regularly, but still rate our 2012 Icelandic Cruise among the best ever.

    Happy new year CC'ers.

  3. Perhaps these changes are the result of Carnivalization of Princess.

    That is my fear too.

Since we started cruising in the 1990's Princess and others were taken over by Carnival and we have seen a steady but very clear decline. Whilst cruise prices may not have kept up with costs, the on-board sell most certainly has whilst food quality along with other experiences and quality has declined. Very sad.:'):'):')

  4. Windsor is well worth a visit, if you have time. London Heathrow has five terminals so worth checking which terminal your flight departs from. For a transatlantic flight I would allow for a three hour check-in. Southampton to Windsor should be around one hour thirty, but in the summer and with Legoland Windsor as well opening around 10.00 a.m. ...... Really depends on the time you could leave the ship. Windsor could easily keep your interest for five hours, but three hours better than none as long as you have the time. Keep us posted!

  5. The photo package is available on my cruise photos now.

Just off Connie today. Our first time on Connie - great ship, well maintained, great crew and the Captain one of the best we have come across with great sense of humour- but believe he started his leave today.

However, returning to the point - we bought the photo package prints and digital on line in advance - good value and we had many truly excellent photo's. IMHO there are a few really good photographers onboard at the moment who took some really fabulous photo's.

Hope you enjoy your cruise as much as we have.

  6. We are booked on a summer cruise. On booking direct with RCCL/Celebrity as bookings opened in 2014 we were given on-board credit of $250. Dont recall this being part of a 123 offer. No offers on drinks packages or free gratuities were mentioned. Have pre-paid gratuities which are shown on invoice. As share holders we were expecting to also be able to claim an additional on-board credit but have been told by RCCL/Celebrity that only one "discount" can be applied. Is this correct?

    Actual Response:

    Thank you for your email.

As offers are not combinable, the requested shareholder’s onboard credit cannot be applied to reservation xxxxxxx because there is another discount or onboard credit offer already applied. If you wish to take advantage of the shareholder’s offer instead of the other offer, please contact your travel agent to have that offer removed. Once the other offer is removed, please resubmit your complete request.

  7. We went on the Celebrity Eclipse Baltic Cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it. We won't make a habit of cruising as we enjoy varying our holidays. However we are thinking of doing a Norway and perhaps add on Iceland cruise and although we liked the Eclipse we have heard that a smaller ship has more choices of going into more shallow and narrow ports of call etc. Could anyone recommend a ship please. We were in Aqua class on the Eclipse and would like a 5 star cruise again.

    Look forward to receiving recommendations

We cruised as a family on Eclipse to Iceland and the Fiords in 2013 and would do so again tomorrow - unfortunately timings have not worked for us for that itinerary since. However, would have no hesitation in repeating whatsoever. For a smaller ship believe that Princess operate a similar cruise from Dover. However, for us we would go on the Eclipse again.

    Best wishes

  8. As already stated Celebrity do look after children very well. We did the Fiords with the children on Celebrity and whilst not a lot of children they made friends and consider Celebrity their favourite cruise line over among others RCCL.:)

  9. I have just seen the 2015 brochure.

Am I the only one not pleased about the lack of choice of cruises sailing from Southampton ?

"Celebrity ! what are you doing? It is disgraceful". I don't want to fly cruise.

The whole point of sailing from Southampton is to avoid the hassle of airports and limited luggage.

I hope the Brits do complain and make their feelings felt.

Absolutely agree the cruising choice in July and August 2015 is extremely disappointing, so much so that we won't be cruising from the UK - forced in to a fly cruise for the first time since 1995! Family not pleased, but left with no choice, extra hassle of flying is not a trivial matter and ruins the relaxing start to the holiday we normally have from the UK. Also what about those who simply don't fly, or can't fly!

We had been looking forward to returning to Iceland and the Fiords, but that cruise leaves in June; so we had a choice of the Baltic, or the Baltic, if we wanted to cruise Celebrity. So disappointing.

Taking other lines cruising from the UK their itineraries also massively disappoint in 2015 and we like a ship that is not too crowded - we like Celebrity! (Grand Princess for example was fine, but put on an extra deck of cabins - Caribbean Princess, P&O Azura/ P&O Ventura style and the ship is just too crowded for the deck and public area space available. I won't compare/comment on food. facilities entertainment etc.) Yes, Celebrity has large ships but the passenger numbers to deck space work for us, pity the UK sailings just don't next year. Not a happy cruiser.

Here's hoping 2016 will see something better. Celebrity are you listening please?

  10. Have you tried getting Celebrity on the phone lately? People are reporting waits of a minimum of half an hour. Sometimes they never get through. Use a good TA and let him/her deal with Celebrity.

Hi Happy Cruiser just had to tell you our experience in the UK. We phoned and booked directly with Celebrity here in the UK - with Matthew - who could not have been more helpful. Spoke four times, left a message once when he was engaged on another call and he returned the call within twenty minutes. Really feel we had great service and that nothing was too much trouble.:)

  11. They are select your own pin. Nice and roomy allowing ipad to fit easily. Enjoy your cruise - our favourite ship:D

Hi Jenna Have just booked Constellation with some trepidation as an older ship and see that she is your favourite. Would be pleased to hear more, or if easier to be referred to any earlier posts about her if you have made any. Many thanks in anticipation.

    Best wishes
