  1. I asked people on my roll call, some changed by 2 weeks, a couple others just 30 days out from sail away. Hoping mine gets extended so that I can be sure things are safe to sail by then. I have a few pre existing conditions that would make it a deal breaker otherwise.

  2. Just wanted to ask if anyone else has had a similar experience. I have a cruise booked for November on the panorama and my final payment date was set for August 16th. I looked at my planner today and noticed the date has changed to August 31st. Additionally someone else on our same sailing date has seen a change to October 15th. I am used to doing final payment at around 90 days before sailing. But these dates are past that. Has anyone else had this happen?

  3. I am considering a day pass for this resort (through Resorts for a day). I am curious if anyone here has tried this before and what the experience was like. There are 2 other Riu resorts listed, but this one was priced the best(Others were Riu Vallarta and Riu Pacifico).  As far as the inclusions, it says lunch and "snacks" as well as cocktails and soft drinks. I was wondering where the lunch was, buffet or restaurant? And is it a one time serving or can I re-visit? Also are the drinks only from the pool bar or in the resort as well?  Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  4. I will be sailing to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo on my upcoming cruise. I am hoping to find a unique piece of men's jewelry, preferably a silver cuff bracelet. I am curious which of these ports would be my best option to find a quality piece at a good price. Also should I bring pesos? Are the prices firm or is haggling expected? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

  5. I will be sailing from Port Canaveral in November. I will be arriving 2 days prior so that I can spend a day at the parks before the cruise. I am weighing my options for transportation. Wondering if I am better off renting a car and dropping it off near the point if I can. My second option would be using Lyft/Uber. My hotel Is near the parks, but I saw it could run around $30 to get here from MCO. Hotel to the pier is close to $70 using rideshare. Tell me if you have had experience doing this what you found to be the best solution. And, will the rental company shuttle me to port with baggage, or should I drop them in advance at the pier? Thanks for any help/experience you can share on this.

  6. I will be sailing on the Breeze this November. I have had various experiences with Carnival regarding the Muster drill. On several of the ships muster was held outside standing against the wall shoulder to shoulder 5 deep, in the heat. Other times we were seated comfortably in a lounge or dining room. Just wondered what to expect on Breeze. If it matters I will have a deck 11 spa room. Any idea where it will be? Just want to be mentally prepared and not too early. We all had to wait 20 minutes for the stragglers to arrive last time before they got things started.  Thanks for any info you can share on this.😉

  7. I have a few questions/concerns over my deluxe dining purchase. I know I need to reserve my dinner reservations once on board the ship. My concern is that I already have my entertainment booked and am wondering if it will be difficult finding times to accommodate that in the specialty restaurant system. I do not mind eating early, but would hate having a dinner at 10 pm. Also, the sea day lunch allotment, does that need to be scheduled as well, or are walk ins allowed? And finally, is embarkation day considered a "sea day" for the purpose of a lunch option under the plan? I see several of the specialty restaurants are open for lunch that day. Thanks in advance for your help in calming my anxiety over this. I usually have things pre-planned and paid for way before the cruise. Giving up control for the discount offered in the plan was a tough one, but with all the options on the Oasis, I couldn't pass it up.

  8. I purchased the Ultimate dining plan so I could make the most of the tremendous variety available on Oasis of the seas. I realize doing this forfeits the ability to book ahead. My question for those who have done it is, how successful were you in getting your preferred dining venues and times? I will be celebrating an anniversary on board and would love 150 central. However I also would like to see the evening show without being rushed. I plan to get to a specialty restaurant as soon as I board to book my time spots, but hoping they are not just really early or late choices. Second, is embarkation day considered a "sea day" so that I can take advantage of a specialty lunch during that day? Any advice is greatly appreciated.(Except those who feel the need to state that a dining plan is not necessary.) It is for me.;););)

  9. Almost every passenger is sailing to celebrate a special occasion. Honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays and retirements are all over the ship! If they expected acknowledgement there are a selection of decor and gifts available to pre-purchase on line to be delivered to the stateroom. "Status" does not guarantee recognition. However some thoughtful planning from their loved ones could easily have provided those special moments without the attitude of privilege.

  10. Why don't they just sign up for cruise critic? There is no cost to it. They don't have to participate in the boards. Just register for the meet & mingle and let Carnival handle the details. Your group of 27 meets the minimum. Snacks and officers will be provided.

  11. I tried to search but was unable to find an answer to my question. I had OBC that covered the "Ultimate Dining" package. I have only had one Royal cruise to date, but enjoyed the specialty dining on Explorer of the seas. I purchased the Ultimate package so that I could sample all that Oasis has to offer. I have an idea of what I want to schedule, but realize I have to wait until I am on board. For those who have done this before, what was your success rate as to your choices for venue and dining times? Also, I know that scheduling on embarkation day gives an advantage. A second question is regarding the "sea day" lunches.Do they need to be schedules as well? I see that the terms state only from noon to 2 pm on sea days is covered, was worried I might not get in as a walk up. Is day one considered a "sea day"? I would be great if I could just go to schedule my nightly dining and stay for lunch.
