We would love to hear about your trip as we are on the Jan.11 Star Pride sailing. Good to know that the food was great, we were on Windstar a few years back before the change in management and the food was OK, we had a great trip, met some fun people and the crew was amazing but are hoping that food service has improved with the James Beard affiliation.
As far as ports, do have any feedback on Isla Parida as far as the hike or snorkelling? Did they have the marina out at all on your trip? Puerto Jimenez?
thanks for any info!

The expedition team aboard is critical .. We did Ponant with Abercrombie & Kent in Antarctica and the Arctic.- have stayed in the smallest room twice - it is beautiful! and you'll love your balcony. we went ashore twice a day for two hours each time. We found the food excellent

We LOVE being on Le Boreal (Ponant) ... all balcony suites, luxurious and well appointed, great food, spa and massage - best part is the excursions. Off the ship twice a day, in cold weather gear to be ashore in that magnificent place.

We were lucky enough to do Antarctica on Le Boreal on an A&K Charter 3 years ago. The ship is beautiful, comforatble, wonderful French crew - the most important thing to chose is your expedition team. Which is why we went with A&K.

PerfectlyPerth thank you for the weather site. I had used the weather.com but had a hard time getting them to get the places we might go to come up. I also thank you for info on gloves I will be taking mittens and gloves wearing the mittens on the Zodiac as they are waterproof and then change to gloves when on shore for my camera work. I have all my stuff on the living room floor deciding which outfit to take carry-on and then the rest to be checked except for the important papers, etc. of course.
Wish you were going on this one I have read some of your writings and you sure know a lot about this area we will be in. Maybe some other trip.
Elaine - if you live near a Costco - they had GREAT waterproof gloves, liners, base layer tops & bottoms, earmuffs, etc... for really good prices.

Is anyone familiar with them? I'm planning on taking their tour to Livingston at the Santo Tomas port, and btw, I heard that Livingston is the most interesting place around there. Is it true?
Mario - we are on the same cruise as you and are interested in one of Happy Fish tours in Guatemala - did you make a reservation with them online??
