  1. We have booked our first Seabourn cruise departing on Odyssey Feb24. Our cruise is 36 nights with 17 different ports of call. At this point the Seabourn website offers shore excursions in only 7 of those ports. Is it like that more excursions will be offered closer to departure ? Or should I assume that’s it and start booking private excursions for the other 10 ports ?

  2. We have booked two Regent Cruises back to back . We are wanting to book a shore excursion on the turnaround day , that is the first day of the second cruise.

I have spoken to our travel agent and also to Regent direct . They both say we are unable to reserve a shore excursion for that day until we are onboard.

We have booked a private tour as a backup but aren’t 100% comfortable as the port is a long distance from the city.

Has anyone had a similar issue if so what was the outcome ?

  3. Have just booked Pacific Eden from Cairns in October.

My husband loves Crown Lager and rarely drinks any other beer . I thought I read something about it somewhere but now can't seem to find any info ???.

Also we have booked an ocean view cabin as the balcony cabins are all taken . Can anyone recommend a nice place to sit outside and read ? Are there deck chairs on the promenade deck ? Thanks in advance :)

  4. We were also on the 22nd of December cruise booked direct with NCL . Our family booked 3 cabins. After many phone calls and an extremely long email trail we are still owed around $300.

NCL agree on the figure they just keep saying we will get the money soon.........

Also we didn't receive any taxes for the ports we missed. Did anyone else get a refund of these ???

  5. We arrive Halong Bay at 8am and depart at 9pm . We were hoping to take a private cruise but every website seems to include transfers from Hanoi. I emailed one company explaining we were arriving by cruise ship but they quoted the same price as their website which includes bus transfers to/from Hanoi. The ship is offering a junk tour for 3.5 hrs at US$65 , however I read somewhere that these tours are overcrowded and you can be stuck inside without a good view or fresh air . Thoughts or suggestions please ?????

  6. After reading glowing reports in this forum . I have been in touch with Zoom for a 1 day city tour of Ho Chi Minh. He has quoted US $140 per person including lunch. Is this expensive ? or am I out of touch ? Thoughts please
