  1. When using Choiceair do you usually fly in the day of the European cruise?  I’ve never been to Europe and was thinking of booking through Choiceair to Rome. How do you usually get from the airport to the port?  What if the flight is delayed?  Does Celebrity cover issues like this?  I’ve been looking for information on Celebrity website but haven’t found anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  2. We ate at White Horse before our jet ski tour. It was very expensive...we had a taco salad and a wahoo sandwich and it was $42 and that included no drinks. The food was OK but definitely not as good I was expecting. I would have much rather spent that $42 at one of the Swizzle Inns.

  3. We plan on renting from them this next time and so glad to hear you had a wonderful time. We are only running into problems with trying to rent the jet skis and a boat the same day and they only have times for the boat from 9-1 or 2-6. Obviously you can't get there in time for a 9am rental since the ferry doesn't run until 9:30 and it's almost 1 hour to get over to St George. Then if you book the 2-6, you've missed the last ferry from St George and have to take the bus to Hamilton, then the ferry back to the dockyard. Sigh. It's going to be a LONG day on that day.

Do you have any pictures to share of your jet ski tour and the area while you were there?

I always have trouble attaching pictures here. I just tried one and it ended up upside down! I have no idea why but I will keep trying.

  4. We just got off the Summit and did this exact thing. We purchased the OBC through gifts by Celebrity and paid only 16% exchange at the time (purchases 2 months ago). This is the best thing we have ever done especially since the exchange rate tanked a few weeks later. I bought enough to pay cash for all of our ship expenses and cashed out the rest to pay for everything in Bermuda with cash. We ended up with $3 of OBC at the end of the cruise[emoji3]

  5. It was on the 13th. Actually I guess we ripped them off[emoji33] we weren't planning on taking the bus back but decided afterwards to do so. I got the rate from the map H20 had given us and it was the old rate. I'm surprised the bus driver didn't notice.

  6. We just did a jet ski tour with KS from St.George and it was fantastic. We went into Castle Harbour and it was stunning. Donovan was our tour guide and he was excellent! I would definitely go with KS from St.George for your jet ski tour. You will not be disappointed!

  7. We just rented from H20 on the 13th and had the best day ever. There is a grocery store within walking distance. We did not stop there but did notice it. We took a cab from the doc yard in the morning which cost $16 including tip. We spent 5 amazing hours on the water. We went to the shipwreck, to Hawkins island, under the drawbridge, to a private beach then all the way to the dockyard and back. It was the best day ever and flew by. The total for 5 hours including gas was $210. We just walked to the bus stop and took the bus back for only $6.00. Highly recommend H20 and we will be using them again the next time we are in Bermuda.

  8. As everyone else has said, Bermuda is an awesome choice for a honeymoon. The first time we traveled there was for our 15th wedding anniversary and we have been going there ever since. There are so many things to do and see there and it is very romantic. They would not regret choosing Bermuda over the Bahamas at all.

Just want to say that Baltimore is an awesome port to leave from as well. We drove to the port there and literally parked right outside the terminal. It was the easiest embarkation and debarkation ever.

  9. Another option is to stay in New Jersey (Secaucus) and leave your car there. The Embassy Suites has a park and cruise rate but the only provide transportation one way. We have never done this but it is an option. We have taken the Amtrak in to Manhattan and taken a taxi to the port but parking at the port was the easiest although most expensive option.

  10. We had Twinrix and so did all of our kids before our 2nd cruise with them. I discussed it with our doctor at the time and he thought it was a good idea and so we got it. We were travelling to the Caribbean at the time. As others have said, once you get it it is good for life.

" I for one thought I just read that it transfers from Celebrity to RCL but not the other way around."

Can you tell us where you saw that please?

I read it on another forum with a link. It had to do with the new MSC program. I have since read the Celebrity website and found this information was incorrect.

  12. Thanks for the review. We will be sailing on the Summit and with Celebrity for the first time in a couple of weeks. Having never been on Celebrity, can you tell me which nights are the formal nights? We don't dress up to go out much at home but enjoy dressing up on the cruise formal nights. I'm assuming they will be on sea days but not 100% sure.

  13. It may be trading at .77 U.S., but that is the Bank of Canada rate not what you buy it at.

So true unfortunately! I just purchased a tour in Bermuda for $135 USD and had to pre-pay with my credit card. Was charged $179.97 which is a little over 33% I remember a few years back when the CAD was almost at par with the USD. It sure was nice to cruise then....I'm afraid I won't be taking as many cruises for the next little while:(

  14. Does anyone know what exchange rate for Canadian dollars Celebrity uses for new bookings? Princess has a 1.20 usd/cda dollar exchange rate which is very favorable.

    Thanks.

Don't know but they did just raise all of there Canadian $ onboard credits and anything you pre-purchase. I bought have of the OBC I wanted a couple of weeks ago and paid $27.20 CAD for $25. Today that $25 now costs over $30. I wish I had prepurchased everything 2 weeks ago but I didn't know the $ was going to tank so much!

  15. I'm sure this has been asked but I did a quick search and didn't find the exact answer I am looking for. So, I'm looking at a March 2016 cruise. It offers the choice plus extra stateroom guests are free. For 2 passengers the cruise is $1400 all in and for 4 passengers it is $2600. How is this free when the taxes are just over $100? Therefore, I can book 2 staterooms for $2800 and get 2 choice offers (1 for each stateroom), have 2 rooms instead of 1 which is an added bathroom for only $200 more. I don't get how they can possibly advertise this as extra stateroom guests are free. Which part is free? Does anyone know?
