We always buy a ships internet package. It has always been OK for us, We can use whatsapp to message and call whilst at sea as it uses data for all communications. Just have to remember to log out at the end of each session.
We have also got world roamer on our mobile packages (O2 & vodafone), with helps whilst in port.

All flight information can be found on tui flight extras. Log in with booking number etc. You may have to add a 0(zero) infront of the flight number. Hope this helps, have a great cruise...

Free for Sri Lankan visa or it used to be,,,,

No ETA required as arriving by ship. However if you do ever go back to Canada, the ETA only cost us Can$7 and it lasts for 5 years (Price may go up), which I thought was a bargain. We are sailing on the 22nd of October as well....have a great cruise.

All can be found on the tui travel requirements for cruises etc

We are on Discovery on 18th June, we dock at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal 28th June over night. There are only a few dates in the calendar where the ship doesn,t dock at Manhattan.

Hi Scotstravellers,
It is the 1st time Marella have been, might be worth asking again after the 1st lot have gone in May. We have booked the KSC Marella excursion, so would hope we have priority getting off on that day, as everyone has to get off the ship for immigration purposes.
Have a great cruise...

Depending where the ship docks, there is usually a bus from dock to Christopher Columbus statue. You can then walk up Las Rambles to the centre.
Marella normally do trips to Vallencia, either organised tour or by Marella organised coach to do Vallencia on your own.
Have a great cruise

You can eat in the main restaurant 1st followed by the speciality, rounded off with self service. That should put you on till the midnight buffet opens. Then room service until breakfast time. Takes some planning. From one foody to another, you will have a great cruise.

It is a long walk through Palma airport as well. So be prepared

Some information is not 100% accurate. if you are boarding a cruise ship, in any country, that is going to Canada, then you need a covid test. We got electronic copies of our negative result which we then up loaded into ArrivCan. We also did the verifly app thing. When we got to Vancouver, our embarkation port, we simply walked through the terminal passed all the queues scanned our verifly code, then straight to US customs. No issues, so easy.

Shuttle buses go to Columbus Statue. You can then cross road into Las Rambles.

We did the the ships tour to Olympia. Great place if your into that sort of thing. Have to agree with Rebel Rouser, Katakolon is a one street town, 10 minutes and its done.

As long as people keep returning and they keep filling the ships, they will not have a loyalty scheme. Have to disagree about prices, since the all inclusive angle started, prices have risen considerably. Similar cruises on other cruise lines, including P&O are a lot cheaper even if you were to pay as you go for the drinks.
Marella, I think, will start to lose customers if they get complacent.

Hi All,
Sailing on Discovery on 28th March 19. I was just wandering what the dress code is for visiting temples in Sri Lanka & India for both ladies and gents.
TIA

We are flying out to Langkawi on 28th March, the original flight time from Manchester was 15:45. Email from TUI new flight time was 15:00.
Have just checked on the API, and the flight is now showing as 18:15 from Manchester. No confirmation email from TUI ?.
Has anyone else who is travelling that day had a email please? Going to shop tomorrow and getting them to double check for me.

Hi all, would some know who the Cruise Director is on the Discovery at the moment please?.
Many thanks.
-
You will only get about 3 hours in Rome as the trip takes approx. 1.5 hours each way
-
Thanks for all your advice. The reason we did not go for e-visa was the TUI said a muli entry one was required. But when we checked the e-visa form, our first entry into India is the Andaman Islands, we could not see this as an option on the pull down menu.
Anyway, visa all paid for now and looking forward to March..
Cheers all.....

We are just applying for our for March 19. We have applied for regular multi entry visa at a cost of £122.18 each plus photos and a visit to Manchester. Don't know where about in the UK you live but if you google indian consulate and put in the nearest major city to you, it will find a place to take it to.
Also you may find this website very useful.http://www.vfsglobal.com/india/uk/contact_us.html
Have a great cruise.
